Think there's a difference between a forced speedrun that wipes the party than going slightly faster for the sake making the run easier/less boring.
If you healer is standing around doing jackshit 80% of time, maybe pull more if they aren't willing to dps.
3 people decide to burn boss (ei tyrant in sirius, 1st boss in cutters) and you decided say fk u to your party and do what you want making it harder for everyone.
Your party decide to handle some boss mechanics in some way and you decided otherwise screwing your party is INTENDED. aka coil/ct series.

It's DF, you meet 3-23 other people, be a bit compromising.
