The is some utter crap. The DF is not for speed running. Do not expect to speed run on the DF, it is a bonus to be able to get speed run on DF for those that like it. Do expect to communicate and player nice and play together with others, and not go around calling people names like "fail".

Where is it stated anywhere that the DF is not to be used to speed run? Can you clearly define what I am supposed to use it for? I have not been able to locate that specific set of instructions thus far.

Simple, it's not, and you're debating with somebody who thinks everybody has to conform to their opinion. I bet even Yoshi-P does speed runs, if he didn't want them in the game the ilvl sync would be lower than 110.

And where is it ever stated that the DF was ever intended for speed runs? Get real. It take random luck to get a group that can and wants to do speed run on the DF, but to demand it, or expect it is out of the question. And definitely do NOT insult people that go less than warp speed 9.99 on the DF.

And so they get the clear without wipe, so what is problem? Why do they need to cater to the speed runner? Get a pre-formed party and speed run to your hearts content, just don't expect the DF to get you a speed running party, that is not its purpose.

lol this has nothing to do with how this game is intended to be played. Typical that you can't come up with any actual facts so you just throw out a random example of something completely irrelevant to the conversation and pretend it proves your point.

The person asked where you got your information so why don't you try answering the actual question?

You ask where is it ever stated that DF is for speed runs but you cannot provide any information about where it is ever stated that DF is only for slow runs either.

Personally I say that DF is for both types of runs, and it's up to the people playing the game to decide how they're going to play it. If the devs absolutely think something should be done a certain way then they would do something to prevent it from being done the wrong way. They added an ilvl sync of 110 to dungeons that wouldn't be challenging past i70 so I think their actions speak louder than your words.

A DF run, just like any other system of putting a party together, is for accomplishing the goals of each of the party members. That's just a basic fact of it being a multi-player game and that's how multi-player games work. You join together to mutually accomplish your goals. If all the members have the same goal, then you can focus exclusively on that one goal. If different members have different goals, then you go through each of them.

The issue with speedrunning is that it's only good for one goal: just getting to the end. If that's the only goal that anyone in the party has, then it's fine. But that sort of uniformity is far more likely to happen in a PF system, where players are choosing that group specifically because of that one goal.

Because DF pulls in random players, it's far more likely to get different people with different goals. If you have one player who just needs to get to the end, another who just wants an item that might drop from the first mini-boss, another who's there for the XP from all the mob kills along the way, another who's there to work on their skills and learn all the mechanics, then you kill all the mobs along the way and kill the first mini-boss and work through all the mechanics as designed and get to the end. At that point, you've met everyone's goals, so have had a successful run.

Of course, if the DF happens to, just by coincidence, put together a group who all share the same goal, then you can focus exclusively on that one goal just as though you'd designed the group that way. Just don't count on such coincidences happening on any regular sort of basis.

We all know DF is a quick way to gather random people together easy access to content the down side to this is mention by OP those random people telling each other people how they should or shouldn't play, neither side is wrong just not different playing types. My suggestion is more people need to use PF more often and use DF as last option, but also to look for like minded people to go do content with each other some people do already I believe, but most I've seen on my PF listing is all end game rarely regular dungeon request.
