It's the Final Fantasy fanbase. Special snowflake syndrome. you've got it, I've get it, he/she/we've got it. Just some people have it worse than others and refuse to ever accept they did anything wrong ever.

So, this person is actually arguing that no one else should have a problem, when the majority of the players in their group are in agreement with how the run is handled, but she's going to be the one sitting in the corner, moping, getting carried, and crying about it on the forums.
I...I think I agree with your title, but purely because it states everyone OTHER than you is not a fail.
Yes very good in fact, I recall the entire linkshell standing by me, do you? It was a very satisfying feeling.
Forgive me Krosa, I will strive to create quality topics like yours about the race change and relationships. Aren't you and a special someone in Tepe now by the way? I hear such interesting things about that FC. Very interesting things.
To be crystal clear, I actually agree with some of whats in the OP. I'm in a casual FC and we have people who suffer from anxiety in it. Its a daily thing to see folks pairing up to do "slow runs" of dungeons or "slow" Expert Roulettes. But we do that together, we don't try to force that on a team of 3 people spamming Zodiac, or flip out at someone when we que alone. There is a measure of understanding what is expected of us in those situations. So, this person is actually arguing that no one else should have a problem, when the majority of the players in their group are in agreement with how the run is handled, but she's going to be the one sitting in the corner, moping, getting carried, and crying about it on the forums.

With that said, the first post is definitely very hypocritical in the context which created it.

You mean that it's an ERP FC that has a few of us that focus on endgame and tend to like the people in it rather than what they do in the FC mansion. Yeah, they're a colorful group definitely. Though rather off topic if I do say so myself.
Anyway, @ Cadmar; I am just curious as to know what you considered equipped. Do you mean gear ilvl in general, or party setup? I'm not trying to nitpick, but I've seen tanks who try to SR with the setup being MNK, NIN, WHM, PLD. Sure, everyone was geared to the 9s, but you can't really expect two more or less solely single target DPS classes to be able do big pulls effectively, and a WHM spamming holy isn't really going to help since the fights will take longer anyway due to the reasons stated before.
I'm not trying to argue, I'm just wondering what equipped for means, because I do find it silly when a tank does try to do huge pulls with two single target DPSers.

Party composition has a lot to do with it. For me, 1-2 BLMs (at appropriate ilvl) automatically means speed run. SMN/BRD and 1 melee: probably speed run but I'll test it with a mid-range pull for the 1st one. 2 melee? Honestly, I find it easier to just pull one pack at a time and let them go to town. I'll typically stun the last mob and get that 6 second head start to the next pack that I should have waiting for them once they get there.Anyway, @ Cadmar; I am just curious as to know what you considered equipped. I should also mention.. that I do in fact typically ask what the party wants before I go. 9 out of 10 times I am asked for a speed run.
Man Dash, you certainly seem to be good at making friends. But more importantly on topic. I think that no one should ever judge another player besides themselves, if you have certain standards for how you want to have content run make a PF or join up with friends or FC mates.
Additionally, no one knows what kind of specs another player has. I know sometimes in dungeons I get lag spikes or delays because I play on a fail PS3, sometimes it hits, and sometimes it doesn't. That being said, sometimes my Cleric Stance de-activates correctly, and others I find myself ending up Cure 2 crit'ing for 1k and wondering what the heck is going on before seeing that red and black icon on my status bar. So, does that mean I don't know how to DPS during dungeons? Not at all, but if I'm not comfortable doing it I won't do it considering that... If you're really trying to do a Speed Run, wiping because the healer can't DPS and heal takes a lot longer then a healer who strictly heals... So keep that in mind when you're trying to consider that the healer is wasting your time or not doing enough by not DPSing during a SR.

agree with op 100%
this is the type of player attitude se needs to LISTEN to and build content around
You want se to build their content using the lowest common denominator of the population? No thanks. Se should build it around to people who wants to do either speed run or normal.
Lowest common denominator? I can't stand people like you.
As far as building a game around speed running just lol. Ya, let's build a game with mechanics and then create a way for people to completely invalidate all those mechanics because, "AINT NO ONE GOTS TIME FO DAT!"
People who find their time that important usually are not playing a ******* video game. Get over yourself.

I have no issue with people who are unskilled, not confident, or whatnot. However, I do have a problem with someone adamantly refusing to participate or perhaps try something new purely because it's not what they want. That, is selfishness. If your group is doing something, and you're in DF, you need to bite the bullet, and work like a team. To cooperate. It's not about you. It's about US.
