Achievement Points?

I read somewhere on another forum that you can spend the points associated with achievements on items. Is that true?

If so where do I spend them and is there a list of the stuff you can get?

There is just so much depth to this game that I always have questions!!

Sorry, but untrue. There are however, items that are related to specific achievements. You'll be able to see them in the list even before you get the achievement. Some give titles, some give glamour gear, some give mounts or minions, or a previously-best (now 2nd best) fishing rod in one case.

Not the points exactly. (There doesn't seem to be any particular purpose for those other than if you just like seeing your overall Achievement standing as a numeric score.) There are, however, a number of individual Achievements that reward items. Once you earn one of these Achievement items, you can pick it up from an NPC named Jonathas in Old Gridania. Only a few of the Achievements reward such items, though, and they tend to be ones with relatively long-term goals that take quite a while to reach.

On the achievements window, the list of possible achievements in a given category will include a little treasure chest icon by the name of each of the ones that reward an item, and if you select that achievement to show its details it will tell you what the item is.

Thanks guys. It's a shame that they don't have a way to spend them haha.
I do see the titles and the reward for them and how to get them.. so thanks!

There's always the possibility of something being added later. Like if an SE rep read this thread they might look at this post and say "that might be something nice to add to the gold saucer".

I doubt they'd make them spendable, as they can only be obtained once. More likely, having enough may unlock things.
