Wander's Palace HM first boss

Not sure if this is a bug, but it certainly seemed like it. When the first boss throws down his spears, they started blasting out the stacks of fire damage. We barely put a dent into the boss's HP, and had 7 stacks of fire damage from the spears. They exploded every few seconds, but remained until we finally broke one, then he launched more, and each one of them kept putting stacks on us until we wiped. Multiple attempts at the boss, but could not stop the massive stacks of fire damage from the spears...

I've never had that happen before, kinda curious.

Hasn't that always been the mechanic for the fight? The boss himself is pretty weak, but if you don't blow up the spears fast they will blow you up.

I've never really had an issue in there before. I knew they blew up when you broke them, and they debuffed you, but these were constantly blowing up, and hitting us with stacks. Wiped within 30-40 seconds of getting in there

They don't blow up when you break them! They pulse party-wide damage with a debuff constantly, if you don't kill them fast enough. As the boss gets lower on health, he will start to throw down more spears at the same time.

Hm, I guess our DPS was always swift enough to trash them. If that's working as intended, then this thread is no longer relevant
That being said, maybe low-end DPS shouldn't bother with WP HM, if they can't down the spears >_>;
