I would like a special battle ground with bosses from FFXI's past. Kefka Palazzo anyone? They don't have to in fact be the very form of them from other games, but it would be interesting.

Anyway, one can dream.

I think a Sylph gone evil NM would be fun! It could roam in the area above Nine Ivies where all the other Sylphs are -- no one really goes there so it would be out of the way of leves and gatherers. It could just be a little bigger than a normal Sylph, and very dark green with a few extra embellishments. It could drop . . . I dunno . . . woodsy looking items for CON, ARC, and LNC, like a bow with some twigs and leaves on it or a flowering staff.
