In the final released quest of Version 1.0, you join the Ala Mhigan resistance in an attempt to steal a a Garlean airship from one of Gaius' bases in Mor Dhona (from 1562 to 1572, Gaius had small bases throughout the area where the Agrius fell). The attempt goes horribly wrong; Gaius slaughters the Resistance members. The Circle of Knowing make (if I remember correctly) their first appearance in 1572 that isn't an Echo in an attempt to rescue the members of the Path of the Twelve that Minfilia sent to assist the Resistance, namely you and your path companion (who oddly seems the intended Warrior of Light, as far as Yda and Papalymo are concerned).

Anyroad, I always found it really telling that in the entire altercation with Gaius, Yda is the only person to land a punch.

If Thancred is flat out stabbing Brass Blades, I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of ass-kicking Yda's about to hand out.

True, I do kind of get the vibe from her that she's stronger than she lets on. We did she her go toe to toe with Livia Sas Junius, though briefly, during the main story quests, which I think confirmed the fact she's no push over. Really I think all of the Scions can hold their own in a fight.

Except minfilia, who most consider her the princess peach of the series.

She kicked ass in the gridania Main Quest and at Castum centri.

In 1.0 she was the only Scion to land a hit on Gaius. I think it's safe to say that Yda is the strongest of the scions and has been holding back til now.

Looks more like she's being electricuted or attacked with an energy blast

I think it might actually be Boost... would be great to see a return of a classic Monk skill.

I can't wait. I especially like how Papalymo says "Let them have it Yda!" and she starts harnessing her energy. I wonder who shes about to unleash on..
