Featherfoot should be modified to be useful at endgame.

So my friend and I were doing titan ex as tanks and my friend (war) asked me (pld) to blind titan with flash before mountain buster so he could featherfoot and see if the combination of the 2 would make him reliably dodge it.

It did not. So we were talking about how featherfoot should be adjusted to be a reliable cooldown at endgame, similar to bulwark on PLD, not completely reliable but good enough to be used as mitigation.

The problem we struggled with was that if you made it strong enough to use at endgame it would be too strong in dungeons and low level content. In the end the idea we settled on was to make featherfoot work similar to sentinel from FFXI, have it start off strong and weaken over time. Perhaps start at 60% dodge rate (80% for the enhanced version) and decrease by 10% every 3 seconds. So 60-80% > 50-70% > 40-60% > 30-50% > 20-40% > effect wears off

You could make a game where all you did was run through fields of flowers holding hands and you'd still get a guy telling you you're doing it wrong.

I second this. We don't really have a true evasion stat that we can build with gear and materia for Featherfoot to effectively scale with our character, so I believe that it should instead scale with enemies.

However, buffing Featherfoot seems to go against part of the design for this game, which is devs not wanting us to dodge magic attacks. Which makes sense of course, just imagine monks and tanks dodging Teraflare lol. The only way I could see this being buffed is if they made Featherfoot physical damage only, then it would be like an RNG version of Perfect Dodge.

Works just fine for pugilist, which is the main class the skill is from. If they made it any stronger than it already is devs would have to rebalance it for pgl/mnk. As it is now, it's not really designed to be a cross class skill to help you survive massive hits, more of a way to dodge a few auto attacks to lessen the stress on healers.

Titan isn't resistant to blind? I thought majority of bosses were.

Any monster which has more than 426 accuracy would have a 100% hit rate against you even with featherfoot. ie: any fight where you need more than 426 accuracy to hit the mob.

Make featherfoot just be: mob has [PGL 25%] [CC 15%] chance to miss you, instead of increasing the hidden base evasion stat.

The original Featherfoot in 1.0 was a guaranteed dodge of the next attack on you after you used it.

This skill has been brought back but only for Ninjas as Perfect Dodge.

Ex is not resistant he just has such high accuracy that even with the blind he never misses.

This could work too, just anything to make it work at endgame cause content isn't going to get lower level and since we have no other way to effect evasion featherfoot is just going to be more and more obsolete as the game progresses as it stands. If it was just a flat % of you will dodge then it will always be relevant.
