For the Lucis item rotation, it mentions in the cross-skills that you need 'Piece by Piece' but the rotation included does not use PBP... what am I missing?

Hi Jx00x and thank you for your message. You are completely right and did not miss anything. You dont need PBP for this rotation. That was a copy/paste mistake (I probably copy-pasted the cross class skill list from the 3* rotation and forget to remove PBP).
The guide is updated.

For some reason I'm not having success with the 3 star 445/4980 80 durability
http://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest.../blog/1988547/
I have failed and lost mats while trying to craft a Furnace Ring. I tried out the rotations: 1, 2 and 3, none seemed to have worked. Are these rotation meant for HQ mats only? I need to make all of the Relic Turn in crafts to finish my quest. I know a friend who can HQ all the relic turn in crafts with NQ mats, I was wondering if you have the rotations for using only NQ mats?
All of my crafting class have above 460+ Craftmanship and 419 Control with 349 CP without food, I used Bouillabaisse HQ while trying out your rotations, for some reason I still fell short on CP and failed my crafts to due lack of CP or durability.
Hi JeSuisR,
With your craftmanship, the rotation 1 should suit the best. You say that you dont have enough CP to complete the craft. Did you use the Trick of the trade skill when you get some "Good" condition on your materials ? The guide states :
It is very unlikely that you did not get two Good conditions. It never happened to me if I remember correctly. The rotation does use 387 + 40 CP. Consequently, if you did not cast Trick of the Trade at least two times, you will miss some CP.This first rotation is a 12 Hasty Touch rotation that requires 409 craftmanship and 387 CP's. It needs at least two TOTT to be completed.
Other question : does the Furnace Ring have 445/4980 difficulty/quality and 80 durability? I did not craft this item.
The rotations do work, but only in the exact conditions of the guide. If the difficulty / quality / durability is different, feel free to say, I will prepare a rotation and add an entry to my rotation guide.

Hello Wisdombeer,
Thank you for your response. I had trouble getting any Trick of the Trades and most of my the Hasty Touch ended up failing. I'm still kinda new to 3 star crafting, I did see a few bad conditions here and there, I don't know how to proceed if I get bad condition so I kept going with the rotations. And when do I add the Observe skill, after Trick of the Tread? and yes, the Furnace Ring have 445/4980 difficulty/quality and 80 durability. It's under Platinum Nugget which has about the same stat.
All the mats I used were NQ between.
I dont get this point. Why bait for goods in the beginning ? The #1 rotation require only 2 TOTT, you will get them along the craft almost 100% of the time. You should CS2 in the beginning to bait goods.
Completely true, I'm currently working on getting a WVR Lucis to update my guide. I'm crafting mostly with NQ mats and I have almost 100% HQ (besides the master books II turn in items which are much harder). So I did not feel urgent to get Lucis. I do have HQ mats for expensive recipes (like artisan / forager stuff), that's just obvious. You have no rotations with lucis numbers. [...] are you using all NQ matts?
Well, yes, that could be a way of using CP's. But generally I prefer to cast an HT. It let you use the Good, but as your control is still low due to IQ stacks, I prefer to keep the BT for later on. I'll have some thoughts about this point when I'll be crafting these next days.Could you get away with a basic touch in this situation?

Trick of the Trades is your top most priority. When you see a "good" condition, you should cast it, except if you are in the final phase to cast the Byregot's Blessing. There is only very rare cases when you should not use a Good for a TOTT.I had trouble getting any Trick of the Trades and most of my the Hasty Touch ended up failing
Concerning Hasty Touches, that's just RNG. A few days ago I had 5 fail in a row. Bad luck...
