FF12 events/dungeons?

ff12 is my favorite ff and seeing that this game borrows quite a bit from it, itd be nice to have some kind of ff12 event
maybe princess ashe visits eorzea??

archadian empire teaming up with garlean empire??

the judges and the garlean commander tag team trial???

hell, the fallen remnants of sky fortress of bahamut could be its own raid

maybe fran could be the introductory character for the viera race everyone wants???

have a fate where you must catch vaan screaming around uldah saying "dont believe in ondore's lies!!"

Yoshi stated a long time ago that they're not going to do any crossover events in FFXIV with FF characters whose "stories are already complete" or feature crossover characters who are "dead at the end of their respective games." Hence how FFXIII had a crossover event - it was cross marketing for Lightning Returns, the latest and last title in the FFXIII trilogy.

As the Ivalice Alliance games are pretty much finished, I doubt very much there will ever be a FFXII crossover event in ARR - unless they do something to commemorate it's twelfth anniversary of release in 2019 (like how the FFXI event was to celebrate FFXI's eleventh anniversary of service). But that's a long shot.

This would make me so extremely happy. FFT and FFXII are two of my favorite FF games, as a matter of fact, it is because of XII that I play XIV.

When I first started playing, it reminded me so much of XII~

I remember them mentioning making use of the Gambit system from XII to maybe control things later on down the line~ Maybe we'll get more than that.

I would have thought they would be more inclined to do something when FFXV finally gets released, can you imagine a fate with that massive Adamantoise they show in the trailers.

A crossover would need to make sense, too.
Lightning has been subjected to time/space hoobajoo and thus it stands to reason she COULD appear here.
Shantotto is one of the most powerful black mages in the entire setting, and thus her coming over here because she was bored made sense.
The DQ10 thing...didn't really feature characters so much as ideas and outfits.
Having entire facets from another game with no legitimate reason why is another thing entirely. Ivalice doesn't exist in Hydaelyn, so there's not chance of the crossover you want.
About the only thing we can remotely hope for is a cameo by a character whose "story is incomplete," AKA someone who may or may not be getting a spin-off, sequel, or remake soon.
We're more likely to get Ramza, Alma, and/or the other playable characters from FFT showing up than anyone from XII simply because their ending was ambiguous enough and involved an explosion. Which would be...interesting...as all 3 of the new jobs coming in 3.0 made an appearance or even premiere in that game: Dark Knight (Gafgarion in the original translation, playable class for everyone in the WotL version), Machinist (Mustadio and Barich), and Astrologian (Orran, as "Astrologer")
Though Orran showing up isn't likely in the slightest as his story is both complete AND he's dead...burned at the stake for writing Ramza's story.

The entire Crystal Tower sidequest is directly lifted from FFIII, so they don't have too much of an issue fitting in facets from other games into the story.

Considering Zodiark is most definitely a thing in FFXIV, that's probably the touch of Ivalice you'll see ingame at some point.

There's a bit of a difference between that and what the OP wants.
Lifting something with as generic a name as "The Crystal Tower" and giving NPCs the same names and roles as they had, but be different characters from the original (with Cloud of Darkness being an ambiguous case, as she's an extradimensional entity and thus COULD be the same one), is a bit different from...transplanting the entire Empire and characters from one game and putting it in this one.
The armor of the named Garleans already draws inspiration from the Judges in XII, so I doubt we'll be getting much more than that.

Crossover, no, but a tribute like Crytal Tower is to FFIII would make me very happy. XII is my favourite too! Or even a location that resembles one in the game, like Costa del Sol or the Gold Saucer. XII has some beautiful places.

Although I was pleasantly surprised by Lightning's event (i love the saga but side eyed the crossover), I wouldn't like to see past characters come to Eorzea.


I am pretty sure (pure speculation, of course) that we will see Yiazmat in some form in Havensword, either as a raid boss or S mark hunt. 3.0 is all about dragons after all!

Yeah, I think a tribute reference would be far more likely than a direct crossover. I'd welcome either one, though, as I really like XII too.
