A realm reborn: PS4 constant issus

Hello everyone, I\\'m seeking to find immediate answers with my current situation that\\'s been ongoing for the past month.

Okay, so last month I bought the game on the 7th through PSN as it went on sale for $20.00 and I was eyeing it for some time. I bought the game and I had to wait a while for my PS4 to do its thing and install some update files in order for me to play. However, I have been getting some consist problems that have been happening nonstop and it\\'s gotten to the point where I\\'m dissatisfied with all of these random disconnection issues.

I keep getting error 90002 and 2002 and it\\'s so annoying. I\\'m also encountering "rubber banding" issues which is what I assume it\\'s called after trying to find help online which is best described as everything freezes and after a few seconds everything that involves attacking an enemy or healing a party member happens all at once. Before I begin, I\\'m on the server Ultros. To describe how error 90002 keeps popping up, here are the things that have been happening in game:

    - when I first log in, my recommended quest list doesn\\'t pop up
    - I try to open my friends list and it\\'s completely blank and I can\\'t interact with anything on it
    - If I attack an enemy in the open world, nothing happens and they continue to stand there going about their business (refer back to rubberbanding above)
    - When I approach an NPC to interact with them, all my controls don\\'t work and all I can do is hit the circle button to try and cancel the action, but when I try to move my analog stick to walk away I am stuck in place and can\\'t move. After a while, error 90002 pops up
    - when I use my actions or spells in the game, the animation will play, but the effect of it is late. For example, I would hit the Sprint action and the green smoke will appear, but I\\'m not running at all, or if I cast cure the animation will play but I don\\'t see the green numbers come up (again, refer to rubberbanding above) and error 90002 yet again pops up
    - I could be in the game for 3 minutes with all of these issues and I get suddenly disconnected

On a good day, everything could be working just fine with no problems at all, but the next is not guaranteed to be the same way. Ive checked everything about my PS4 and ran system updates, checked my router, did Internet connection tests, and everything has been fine, but what I don\\'t understand is why I keep getting disconnected. I\\'m not losing packets at all, at least I think I\\'m not. I have Comcast as my provider but I don\\'t think that has anything to do with it.

As for error 2002, it just happens. Simple as that. I could hit the start button on the main menu where it plays the final fantasy tune and get taken to the character selection screen to play the game. And like I said before it could be a good day with no problems. But then it tells me the lobby encountered an error which I know isn\\'t true, because I would get error 90002 on my "bad day" and try logging back in and it would just show up. I don\\'t think the lobbies are full, it\\'s just telling me that for no reason.

So overall, I\\'m looking for an answer and some guided help because this has been getting to be ridiculous. I re-subbed to this game because it\\'s so much fun and I enjoy it and have made some good friends so far, but at this rate if these disconnection errors keep up I want my money back because I\\'m not playing a game that can\\'t be played due to so many errors. I\\'ve tried looking everywhere for answers but all I\\'m getting is results for the PC version no matter how many times I type in "PS4" in the search bar.

Please help me with my situation soon. Thank you!

I been on PS4 since November and PS3 before that all the way to Beta and never had this happen to me. I'm on Cox Cable modem. The only issue I had was pulling up the FC list it doesn't show anyone on I have to back out and pull it back up. Some fixes you can try ,if you already haven't, go wired instead of wireless or even moving the modem closer to the PS4. Try another service provider if you have a friend or family with service though a different company just to see if it is Comcast. I have heard horror stories on Comcast service. If this was a PS4 or even PSN issue you would see more posts about it. My FC is mostly PS4 and haven't heard any comments like this. Hope this helps.

Maybe a location thing. I have had Comcast internet for about 6 years now. It has never gone down on its own, or had issues with it, and I'm out in the sticks. Mother nature has taken it out, but when there are 100's of tress lying across the roads and power lines what would one expect? The only issue I had and it wasn't that bad was using their modem. I turned it back in and bought my own.

As for the OP. It could be your equipment, modem router or if your using switches. Also are other games affected? Are other people using the internet in your house, maybe streaming stuff eating up bandwidth. As mentioned in the other post if you're wireless, could be getting interference from something, a neighbor jacking your signal. If your using a router or switches try bypassing them and just hook right to the modem and see how it plays. Could check firmware on your equipment and see if its up to date.

All of my other games have been working perfectly except ARR. Like DC Universe Online for example, I have that on my system and have encountered no connection errors, let alone any errors at all. I'm located on the east coast of the U.S. Im not all that tech savvy and would probably require the help from someone in my family to take your recommendations and see to the problem being fixed. Also, I understood half of what you said previously since I don't know much about technology, but I know where you are headed and will do some research on a couple terms.

The same thing that I posted yesterday about what was happening happened today, except everything was off to a good start until about an hour and a half into my game time where I started "rubberbanding" (seriously don't know if that's the right term lol) and got a ton of lag. Could you possibly give a brief explaination to me on how I might go about the whole tech situation? I'd greatly appreciate your help . Comcast hasn't been the best for us the last few months, maybe that might be why I have so many problems in game.

Check your data centre could be your ping depending on your area and connection you may have to switch servers if your ping is too high , I had the same issue on euro servers until I swapped to a jp server

Okay everyone I have an update on my situation:

So it turns out that a friend in game told me that with my wireless connection I should have the system be closer to the modem, so I moved my ps4 upstairs and after a few minutes of the game adjusting it's signal to the wifi it played crystal clear. But then yesterday it went back to the similar pattern I encountered before as I explainex earlier in this thread expect I was getting more rubberbanding problems than ever. I ran a ping test a few minutes ago and I'm at 22ms (don't know if that's good or not). It's getting out of hand and now I know why I'm disconnected half the time, because the game can't keep up. And the worst part is that I've gotten up to the point where I'm on the Howling eye Garuda trail (which is extremely hard because I can barely keep up with my heals and she cheats my group outs on death and I end up getting yelled at; probably gonna make a new thread for advice).
