Is there a warning message for new players for WoD? If not maybe it should be.

So yesterday I ended up feeling really bad for forgetting to mention to a *new* player that loot locks out in CT.


You know cause I've been playing a long time so this sort of situation is like a *shrug* everyone knows this tradition.

However I've come to realize even though it's been a thing where CT has always had a loot lock out - there is a chance that new blood does exist. That some people just weren't around for that.

So when the guy hit greed and expressed his frustration on being grayed out later - it hit me.

I've come to just share this experience to in light that maybe there should be a warning for new players at the start of these dungeons - like a "help" active window that lets them know. As I feel for the guy. New raid, only to get snuffed for the week without any indication.

If there is one - whew. Glad I just got this off my chest. Still feel terrible lol.

The warning is at the top of the loot window and also in the Duty Finder description.

It says in yellow letters over the loot roll window that you get one item per week.

Cause I hate being that guy that tells people the bad news.

As I used to *that officer* in other MMOs who had to let people go.

So this kind of made me feel terrible again lol.

But no one reads most of the information that's given to them by the devs in the game (or even anywhere else for that matter), hell half the time they don't even read the comments in Party Finder.... Human nature is a human's biggest enemy....

The big letters on top of the loot window make it a bit obvious. If they don't read that, it's their own fault.

As a developer, this thread made both laugh and cry inside at the same time.
I laughed because it was so true.
I cried because people will always behave like this and then call support to complain it is broken. The number of times I just want to RTFM to people during these support calls hurts.

I never noticed it on my first trip through WoD, but I've been playing long enough that I'm fully aware of loot lockouts on new raid content so might have just been that I wasn't paying enough attention to notice. Could probably be made more noticable though for newbies.
