Logging in from other locations?

My partner occasionally likes to log on to putz around on my account, and gather things for me or maybe do a roulette if I don't have the time. Usually this is easy since we live together but currently they are working in Sweden for a few months.

If he were to log in from there, would my account be in danger of being banned? Is there a way I can say "Yo its totes cool if it's logged in from here or there"?

Ok, just to be clear, account sharing like this is against the TOS. Very rarely enforced but just keep in mind it's not officially supported and I wouldn't approach SE about the problem.

That said, as others have mentioned... OTP is probably the best way to get around it, and you get a free teleport location on top of that. There are various security measures in place in case your account should be compromised; geo-IP is part of that. Setting yourself up with the one time password app bypasses it and similar account-locking triggers (to my knowledge anyway).

Every time you log in with a new IP or if your IP resets you are locked out and need to reset your password. From there you won't have an issue logging in at both locations.

I am not sure how it would work with an authenticator like the others are suggesting as it would be tied to one mobile device or key.. So your partner needs to ask you for the code each time or vice versa? I dont think you can have to devices tied to one account, but I am be wrong..
