    Need help linking pc account to ps3

    so I need some help here I just recently purchased a ff14 pc game and 90 day sub. I recently got a physical copy for my ps3 i would like to link the account so I can play my pc account on my ps3. Now i have read multiple threads but cant find one that is solid

    so for instance my square enix account is already made for my pc account. I also have a sony network account on my ps3 pre existing. so my ps3 version comes with a product code where do I enter this ??

    I read from different forums and I got 2 answers that I enter this into my mogstation under add new service account.

    The other is that I enter it into my sony network account maybe under redeem product code ??

    The other issue Im hearing about is the steps of installation do i have to register my account i guess in either way posted up top if thats even correct before i physically put the disc in and install ??

    if anyone can shed light on this issue or just flat out give me a step by step i would appreciate that

    Install the game on PS3, start it, login with your existing SE account(the game will ask you if you want to create a new or existing account). That should sort it. The codes depend. Some might be for mogstation some for the PSN store.

    PlayStation Store -> Redeem Codes
    Oh, and it's the 12-character Registration Code on the back of the little booklet in the game box, not the 18-character Serial Code on the separate product registration card.

    The reason for the conflicting info is that it's different for different platforms. PC product codes are registered through the Mog Station. PS3/PS4 product codes are registered through Sony's network. (And sometimes players only familiar with how they did it answer questions from players on a different platform without realizing the process is different.)

    I don't actually remember whether I put in the registration code before or after installing the software from the disk. I'm not sure if the order of those parts matters (but if it does, you'd presumably get a prompt telling you so).
    After you've done both, however, there's a third step for linking your PSN account (that now knows about your purchase) with your SE account (that has all your character data). This third step occurs the first time you try running the game. Before starting the game itself, it will first go to an account setup screen that asks if you want to establish a new SE account or use an existing one. In your case, of course, you'd select to use an existing account and log into the one you use on PC. Once that's done and confirmed, your accounts with Sony and with Square Enix are linked together.
