I'd just like to see the ability to que for your books on any Job. People can say that it's "helping populate low level ques" but that only applies to healers and tanks (as running as a DPS just saturates that role even farther). It would have been really nice if I could have just run Cutters Cry as my PLD. The low level players would get their pop faster, and I wouldn't have to sit in que for 55 minutes as a monk just to have tank leave after first pull.

I have a feeling that things like will be taken into account for the 3.0 relic quest line. I'm guessing that the 2.45 patch will serve as a kind of template for future versions of this type of thing.

@ OP It's all abot you isnt it?

A BIG reason why the lowbie dungeons are put in as requirements for higher level stuff is so new/leveling players can get:
    - Full teams at a reasonable que rate
    - Experienced people involved with the dungeon

I would say Lowbie dungeoning isnt involved enough since, anecdotally, que times on sub-level 50 content is longer.
Double (triple?) the poetics for lowbie roulettte!

I hope they continue to do stuff that makes you go back to older content..keeps it relevant. I hate when old content becomes dead zones in mmo, or impossible for new players to do after a certain point because people have moved on.

Animus books are yet another of many, many features SE has added to the game to encourage/force players to re-run old content, for the benefit of players doing that content for the first time. If they didn't have these incentives, experienced players would rarely or never do lower-level dungeons, making it very, very difficult for newbies to find other party members.

So why not just remove the level cap, so the dungeons can be run quickly and newbies still get clear credit? Well, not only would it be HUGELY unsatifying for a newbie to run the dungeon on the coattails of an impatient level 50, having no idea what's going on and just gawping while everything gets curb-stomped along the way, but it would also deny them some of the best opportunities they have for learning how to play their class/job properly. How can a tank learn to tank if a level 50 is holding all the hate, all the time? How can a healer learn to heal if the level 50 never takes damage that outpaces their natural regen? Newbies need more than just experience points if they're going to be successful endgame.

SE has talked from time to time about allowing players to run content without level cap. If that day comes, it will be a sad day indeed.

I would personally like them to keep lvl scaling in older dungeons..but would like them to make it so you can use all your abilities instead of locking them out..Why not just scale their damage..they already do it to the abilities that don't get locked out.
