Premades shouldnt be able to queue into pugs

Lately there's been alot of premade groups queuing frontlines, i've seen scores such as Team A - 130+ points, team B and C under 30, just getting farmed by coordinated groups of 24 players on voice chat, sleeping\rooting and limit breaking at the same time, etc.

Premade groups should only be able to queue into other premade groups, if there's 2+ groups of 8 players all from the same server, it should be considered a premade, and should only allow those parties to queue into other groups of 8 from the same server.

Not only do the PVP queues take 20+ minutes some days during normal play hours for most people in north america, but there's nothing more unsatisfying then just getting crushed by a group of organized players after spending that long in a queue.

PS - change limit break system back to the old way.

I don't PvP, but tbh:

1) You could try to join a FL LS and make pre-mades yourself. If in your own opinion that pre-mades does raise chances of victory, why not place yourself in a position of advantage?

2) If you actually know the tactics, why not try leading the pack? Just FYI one of my FC mate was one of the first few on server who got the ADS mount. He did it either solo queue or with a few FC mates, not a full 8-man team or full 24 man pre-made GC alliance. He goes in and majority of the people are Japanese players, as we are on a JP Data Centre. He can't speak Japanese for nuts, all he did was to place way marks and use the auto-translate options to form instructions to his fellow JP players.

He was so-actively doing it, to the point that the JP players started recognizing him and follow his commands to victory.


There might be flaws in the game, but every time players need to ask themselves is there anything they can do to help themselves instead of just simply asking for a change whenever there is anything not favorable.

This is not that big of an achievement. You did not have to get 200 wins since the patch, but old wins were grandfathered in. Some people were able to get one more win to trigger the achievement and get the mount, if they already had 200+ wins.

Okay, fine, but then that's besides the point. After getting the ADS mount he's still PvPing for the PvP gears for glamour and he's still leading the pugs as usual. The main point is that pugs =/= automatic loss. If he can lead despite the language barrier, what stops anyone else from trying?

As far as I know there isnt a FL LS on my server, and if there is it isnt advertised anywhere. Any half decent premade will stomp pugs, there is a chance another grand company could have a premade aswell. also wins are irrelevant, obtaining an ADS mount \ 200 wins just shows how much you play, he could have a 20% win\loss ratio overall. Pugs also arent even close to as coordinated as a premade group communicating through voice, pugs will waste their limit break, or be stubborn and not listen to anything you say, you can only lead pugs to some extent.

you should also note that pvp is lacking very badly in FFXIV, and most other mmo's with a far more successful pvp scene dont let premades queue into pugs, or have a competitive game mode that premades would be forced to use. ( solo queue ) ( team queue )

The premade thing really is pretty annoying. It's extremely difficult to get in with one if you are not in Flames or Adders. Especially Flames on Primal since they seem to be lacking in PvPers.

Yeah, I'd love to do frontlines with my guildies, but there's only so many that are the same grand company as me, play at the same times and want to pvp at the same time as one another, but that's a whole different problem. I'm sure the JP database is FAR different then NA, maybe i'll give it a try sometime.

we don't need any other queue options to split the people who want to play any further. maybe if everyone in the server actually played instead of being in hunt parties but there isn't enough incentive to pull in everyone to make split queues for team and solo. if you want any proof of that try and queue for premade wolves den.

or hell even try queing for solo il80 sync wolves.

The problem isn't the pre-made; the problem is the lack of communication in a PUG. Saying "no more pre-mades in with PUGs" is like saying "no more properly-cooked chicken mixed in with the salmonella, it's not doing its part to make people sick."
