    Yes, this is the system that was in place at the start of 1.0... and many people hated it.

    Personally, I was okay with it and think it was designed to encourage specialization... i.e. growing your character in a way that you wanted.

    But people hated feeling gimped by having stats in the wrong area, and it was seen as simply hindering gameplay.

    We could re-assign a few points every few days, and I remember people in our LS saying that we had to wait another few days to do this-or-that content so they could re-assign their stats properly. They would refuse to go until their points were properly assigned.

    Nope, personaly I hope they remove them and make the stats go up, by themself. This would solve the Scholar/Summoner stats issue that alot of players are facing. In return for those that want to have the ability to add stats, they could release a new crafting class like the Enchanter from WoW and give them the ability to enchant stuff with bonus stats.

    I've been 30 Str for a while now as Warrior. I don't want to be forced into Vit, unless I need it later due to content.

    I like the currant system as is. Not being a endgamer/raider, the currant system allows me to experiment with differant builds and styles of play. "Having a few points here and there is not that much of a big deal with the currant gear making everyone OP. Making everyone the same is BORING. "Remember this is only my opinon"

    Then you end up with a similar system as the one we have now except that it costs money. Absolutely unnecessary, especially since the Scholar/Summoner issue can already be solved by visiting your respective Grand Company's quartermaster. The system currently in place is fine.

    I would like to see a system where stat increases cost more as they rise. Deciding between 30 of your main stat or 30 of some other stat is easy, but deciding between 30 of your main stat and 20 to your main stat and 20 to another stat, or 15 each to three stats, is a lot more interesting to me.

    I would like to counter the OP with the proposal that ALL stats points be 'allocatable' up to some max limit per level. That would offer up some interesting customization options.

    Though Square would never do it because it would require effort to keep things balanced and Square has either the smallest or the laziest Dev team I have ever seen in an MMO.

    Warriors seem to use the option to switch between Vit and Str, but I am not sure any other class/job does.

    I had to go 30 VIT (plus i90 acc at the time) for pre-buffed Dragoon to pass T11...

    I think that speaks for itself. :/
