no more ex modes till heavensward? o.O

i am quite surprised since noone asked this so far but is shiva gonna be the last ex mode till the expansion pack? 2.5 didnt bring any ex mode at all sure we dont have the "full" patch yet but i havent seen a single word from the devs about this topic either so far.

did i miss something or can someone show me a interview/liveletter where they state otherwise`?

i was really hoping to see odin or ultima ex or something before lvl 50 content gets closed for good.

Odin Ex (or Hm since it wasn't actually called hm itself) is probably the only thing left if we are getting something before 3.0. I doubt Ultima is getting an Ex mode, though I would find that fun.

As noted, there isn't really anything else in the game right now to give an Ex mode to; there are no more Primals short of Odin and Odin is pretty badass as it is.

Not really a question of not wanting to; just...no real battle to do it for.

Honestly, I think the game has sort of hit the quota of expected content available in the general player mind. I don't think anyone will reject the idea of a Odin EX or any other form of EX if they choose to include one, but I don't think anyone will really complain (much) about it not being there. With the Gold Saucer around the corner and 2.55 not long after, there's quite a lot more to be added into the mix. Then we look into the next major thing not that far off from them... Heavensward expansion. Would not be surprised if there's some unannounced minor content additions before that as well.

Maybe that's all just me though, as the Gold Saucer has been something I've been exclusively looking forward to since they first hinted at it being a thing for FFXIV. Like if they somehow fail on that one, the game would probably lose me completely lol... well, probably not, but it'd be enough to drive me away for a good long while at least.

I think it makes sense for there to be an Odin XM . He's really the only primal left of 2.0 and it'll be nice to wrap up his story. Unless he'll play a role in heavensward

More proof 2.1 was the high point!

Turns 1-5 were still a thing.

i90 had multiple paths.
Myth tombs = i90
Coil = i90
EX ifrit,titan,garuda = i90

Relics = i90
Weekly tokens = i90
Coil wep = i95

iLvL was not a thing, player skill was a thing. Scared to enter coil? No prob get i90 via other means and then try. The player base was broad as were the gear routes.

Levi was done well with useful weapons.

Ramuh dropped useless gear and later updated the accessories. (Way too late)

Shiva was done ok with weapons but the wrist should have been i130.
