    Battle Regiments Vs SkillChain and Magic Burst

    What do you think is better?

    This shows 2 skillchains Fusion to light and also shows a magic burst at the end of the SC
    (A skillchain is when you stack weaponskills to make an extra element attack done solo or as a group just had to use your weaponskill and someone else or if you had the TP could solo mulit weaponskills to make the SC , A magic burst was when a spell caster would time the same elemental nuke on the mob at the right time for extra damage or longer enfeeble depending on spell)

    Skill chains look better, they are funner to do, but if you're saying this game should have a SC system, I'd have to say no.

    Combat was a lot slower in XI, and the SC/MB system worked well with that. It doesn't take as long to get TP and spam WS in this game so I don't believe SC/MB is a good alternative.

    I believe regimens have the potential to be more liked than even FFXI's SC/MB. The debuffs and increase in damage through chains is actually pretty awesome. I think people would like it a lot more, if when they put in auto-attack your character can still do normal attacks even while your queued for regimen. With that people would feel like they are actually doing something while waiting, and it wouldn't be much different than XI's SC system in terms of waiting. In fact it would be more superior because everyone could join in instead of just 2 melees. Visual effects would also make it more appealing, although many may complain about the lag it may cause.

    honestly battle regime. skill chains are hard to set up since you gotta wait till someone has tp. It was also limited in combos. And i thought effects in ffxi was over compensating. BR are a tad easyer to set up. someone start it ppl input any attack they want as part of the chain. and the starter presses the g aka go button. sure there are a few comboes like lancer ws + lancer ws. but thats it. its not like where in ffxi you had use 2 spesific ws. in a certain order. Also add the fact that you had to wait on tp.

    Also fyi no one does skill chains and mbs in ffxi anymore. Not because it was useless but just to annoying to set up.

    Battle Regimens by far. I like that they add enfeeble/enhancing effects as opposed to just additional damage to mobs. They're also much easier to set up currently, although all of this could change depending on the direction they take the battle system.

    Skill chains are nice, but they work with the slower pace of FFXI, which auto-attack or no, is not what they're aiming for with FFXIV.

    The problem with SC is that they were intended to be continuous to a degree, but players discovered that anything more complicated than a two-step skillchain was a total pain to set up and easily botched by latency. Cast times and Magic bursts in the end didn't play nice with each other, either.

    i agree with everyone here . I really like the BR's , what i dont like is when your idol waiting for people to link up . If thay let you attack wile its qued that would be better by far allowing more people to get what thay want set up
