Looking to upgrade my computer, suggestions?

So lately I've been wondering if there are any areas in my PC that need upgrading. I'm only looking for upgrades that would boost FPS more than it already is. Here are my current specs:

    OS: Windows 8.1 PRO 64bit

Graphics card: EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 FTW

    Motherboard: ASRock H97M

    CPU: Intel Core i5-4690 Haswell Quad-Core 3.5GHz

    RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB)
    DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900)
    Timing 9-10-9-28
    Cas Latency 9

    SSD: Sandisk ultra plus

    HDD: WD Black

    PSU: Corsair CXM500m 500w

Monitor: I have a 1080p 24" samsung TV/Monitor (it doubles as both) it has a 5ms response time and also a gaming mode setting. It's refresh rate is at 60hz and I was thinking of getting a gaming monitor of the same calibur but with 120hz refresh rate, would I see a better clarity in the picture and gameplay?

    ideas anyone?

I run with a 3450 (ivybridge) intel CPU and a 550ti and get a steady 30fps+ and it looks fine. I don't think you need to upgrade your PC for FF14 to be frank.

Nice bragging thread. You clearly don't need to upgrade any components top get any more FPS.

The next step for you is to get an i7 5690x, GTX 980 and DDR4 RAM.

Also, your CPU isn't "K" Based? Pfft, throw it in the bin if it isn't and get a K based CPU and overlcock it.

    I'm running:
CPU Semi-custom 8-core AMD x86-64 Jaguar CPU (integrated into APU)
Secondary low power processor (for background tasks)

    Memory 8 GB GDDR5 (unified)
256 MB DDR3 RAM (for background tasks)

    Storage Hard drive, 500GB

Display HDMI (480p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p, and 4K for pictures and videos only)

Graphics Semi-custom AMD GCN Radeon (integrated into APU)

On a 55 inch Sharp Aquos 240mhz with combined old school Sony processor, Bose 7.1 full surround sound speakers and one big fluffy comfy chair.

Oh and it plays very smooth.

    from my experience, AsRock sucks.

8GB RAM is a little bit too low.

    and better get i7.

Your computer should be beyond capable of running the game at max settings/max fps. 660 gtx factory overclocked/i5 3350p ivy/ 8gb gskill ram and i run 60 fps as long as i'm not in Revenant's Toll.

-Replace your quad core with a 6 core processor.

-Raid your HD with solid state drives..

-If your graphics card can output 3d then upgrade your monitor for 3d support. However I can't tell what the difference between HDMI and Display Port.

-I don't think I see a sound card you might want to go with something with fiber output for 7.1 or a real good pair od headphones.

-Id go with 12gig or 16gig of ram only because you can never have to much.

-Then take a magnetized sledge hammer to the whole thing because you're running windows 8.1. There is no excuse for that unless your rig is either a touch screen, tablet, smartphone, Xbox console or to cheap for a real apple product. So unless you are waiting for the rumored free Windows 10 upgrade for Windows 8 users. That OS needs work before everything else.

Otherwise everything looks better than the typical big box pc. Good job.
