Terrible drop rate for Markab(Farkup)

First of all, I would really wanted to say something about the sick RNG luck in FF14.
It's pretty much very sucks dealing especially with specific drops that were so scarce yet do no beneficial game enhancing feature.
Drop such as Mounts that drop from Ramuh and Shiva onwards.
As indicated, SE told players that Mount drop rate had increased.
However, i'm presently doing Ramuh EX that drops one Farkup whistle once after 10-20 runs.
RNG pretty much so bad that i manage to rolled 98 once and it fell off to another player with a 99 lot.
It's the best lot i've tried over a total of 90 runs that i did for over a month.
RNG was so terrible and now the mechanism i'm encountering with this primal was so intense that i spent over 10hrs to try for it with so many failed runs.
This is just something like ff11 absorbing player's entire life into it.

I still don't have a pony and I can't even try and count the amount of kills I have between garuda, titan, and levi.

Unless you count the whm pony. In which case..I do, yaaay /s

I'd rather rare things be rare because few people have achieved something rather than being rare because only a few people can get lucky. It's infuriating when a whistle is won by someone on their first run, whilst those who spent dozens of hours farming are once again denied the drop.

I'd rather to see quite a run for them instead of lesser runs with rare drop.. And it appears with these drop rates, people are trying to get it way more before 2.5.. more access for me to enjoy the fight.. And i feel like being an oddball in Chaos DC to actually enjoy the fight..

That's why we have the pvp mounts, but wouldn't mind other harder ways to get some other mounts that way too.
But mounts were supposed to be rare drops that very few people had. But now I feel like they drop every 3rd ex primal run, and I think almost everyone on my friends list has at least one ex mount.

I liked how rare it was to see someone with the mounts back when titan ex was the hardest thing in the world. Made me wanna farm them to get one too, but now that everyone has one it's not very cool anymore.

The kirin mount is still rare and cool, but i feel like upping drop rate on already rare mounts to only get one new really rare mount is such a waste of rare content overall.

Its not relevant that the mount is a "necessity" or not.

If its important to a specific player for any reason...that's reason enough to have a concern.

Too much is based on rng, not just mounts. It is an ancient way of thinking that imo needs to be revamped for a more tasteful design.

Pretty sure RNG is a stable to any kind of RPG, whether single player or MMO. Does it suck? Of course. But RNG is there to keep people playing. If everyone got everything they needed within a week and then left, that's not a sustainable population.

Some people complain about token farming for stuff as much as RNG.
