I must have missed in the start of the game to make all the magical friends you can right away and go practice your role with them at FATES before entering your first dungeon so you know exactly what to do in there, but wait you won't need to do anything just sit back and relax. Was that Momodi that told me this at the start?

Learning your role is different than learning a dungeon. You can always learn a dungeon regardless of it you're actually doing something or not. Again, which is why people scream go watch a video. That's not you playing, that's not you even in the dungeon or in the game.

With an attitude like that, I can see how you missed making friends lol.
