Glamoring and shared equipment

So I finally bring Scholar to 50 cuz my white mage has full poetics and what not figured I'd take Scholar up to 50 since they will use the same gear.

Well apparently the glamor is applied directly to the item and is not class specific. I figured that was the case.

The issue lies in that I want to have my traditional white mage outfit glamored to my White Mage and the Scholar outfit glamored to my Scholar. Glamor Prisms are currently pricey as heck I mean they add up even if you're only paying like 5000 gil for one, over time they really hurt the pocket. Nobody can reasonably afford to change their glamors constantly.

This is what I consider a broken system, perhaps an oversight? It needs fixing in my humble opinion.

There have been several posts about this, but as far as I know it hasn't received a dev response. Basically, there are a lot of people who would prefer if the glamour is applied to either the job or the gearset (instead of the gear) so we can have separate looks for our PLD/WAR, SCH/WHM, or BLM/SMN (and for i110 and lower, MNK/NIN). I would love for them to change it.

You're making Item X look like Item Y.
As much as you may not like it how it's implemented, it's certainly not broken.

5k isnt much actually tbh even on a regular basis, you should be making way more than that just from your questline and regularly raiding
plus you know what they say, "beauty is pain" and if that pain is in your wallet, then you gotta buck up and accept it or realize that vanity isnt your thing
at least no till your income stabilizes

X item takes on Y appearance.
If Y appearance is not able to be worn by Z class, then X item with maintain X item's appearance.
They did this on purpose. It's not broken, it is literally working as intended.
They do this specifically so your scholar can't wear the WHM robe.

This is my biggest issue with the game right now as glamours is really important to me. I hate having to gimp my blm cause I want my blm to use the pvp rank 40+ gear and my summoenr to use the soldiery gear as glamours. So my blm is lower ilvl than it could be if they had just fixed this silly probelm

Except that isn't what the thread is about. It's about allowing one glamour for WHM (in this particular case WHM i50/i90), and one glamour for SCH (in this particular case SCH i50/i90). The request was not to be able to use WHM i50/i90 as a glamour for their SCH.

I'd love to have two different appearances for my WAR and my PLD without needing to find two different sets of gear that somehow are both equally effective and of equal ilvl, which isn't made easier by the fact that all high-level gear except for crafted gear is Unique. Plus my armory is already full enough as it is. Warrior and Paladin have two very different "feels" to them, and I'd like to be able to wear glamours that reflect that. That we can't is a disappointment, and is something I think they should work towards fixing.
