The Eighty Sins of Sasamo

What, exactly, were the Eighty Sins of Sasamo - anyone care to guess?

If we're to guess that Sasamo was a merchant Lala from Ul'dah, building those 80 steps was probably his/her penance for typical Lalafellian white-collar crimes like:

• Attempting to bribe the Will of the Elementals with fishmeal, filtered water and promises of sustainable development
• Planting hypnotic plants - the kind strictly banned by the Elder Seedseer - in the Greatloom Growery
• Running a sports betting operation in Ul'dah on which gladiator would be next to die on the bloodsands, hedging against losses by taking out life insurance policies on said gladiators
• Making multiple copies of the same treasure map at the Manderville Copy Shop and selling them to adventurers at full price
• Widely suspected but never proven to have been the Alchemist Guild's secret courier during their involvement in Uldah's biggest racing chocobo doping scandal
• Also suspected of sabotaging chocobo race opponents by feeding their birds deep fried marmot steaks and other fat-laden foods
• Smuggling goods into Limsa by arranging to dock merchant ships in Ul'dah, then teleporting to the lower decks
• Botched counterfeiting of Bacchus wine lead to the largest product recall in Limsan Lominsan history; Sasamo's company owned a 35% interest in the disgraced vintner at the time

Definitely. There are not 80 steps. I think Square Enix (or Sasamo?) just assumed none of us would count them.

This actually bothers me a bit. Three of the stairs have 20 steps and the topmost one has only 18. Kinda weird, considering that they are most likely the same model.

I assumed they were all the same model too and felt foolish the first time I counted them. Then I thought maybe the dirt was just covering the bottom step somewhere, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Maybe that's part of the story. Perhaps Sasamo's eighty sins were eighty attempted murders, but three of her victims survived and brought Sasamo to justice...something like that I hope the quest Fern mentions get added soon, unless it was already and I missed it somehow.
