Except these 'Legendary Weapons' offer zero advantage over any of the other available weapons to justify the heaps of work they require to make. The reward does not equal the work put into it.

And? So don't do it. Why do all weapons have to be available for the same amount of effort...? if it makes you feel better, consider it time-consuming glamour.

I don't understand why people act like relic is compulsory... as you point out, there are many other strong weapons available. If relic is too much effort for you, get one of those.

As I have said before, relic is a nice side project for those with extra time.

But people love to complain about totally optional things they apparently feel entitled to for minimum effort.

It wasn't that easy for us to get Alexandrite. They increased the drop rate for you yet you still complain? I think it's unfair for those who spent more time farming for Alexandrite before the drop rate/ seals got increased.

They should stop making it easier for players, I'm starting to regret spending that much time on farming Alex and lights.

Eh I think as more steps get added into the Zodiac chain, nerf a little bit of some of the previous steps. Not too much to make it a breeze, but enough to not deter new players from doing it.

I view this like being an early adopter of a product or service. It's like when people go buy a product, then it goes on sale. People made the conscious decision to do the quest at release.

Idk who else besides me knew the chain would get nerfed (looking at the games previous patches), but that's why I waited until recently to pick back up on my Zodiac chains.

Lol you can't compare buying a product to this. Because we are earning this weapon as a reward for our hard work, and not something on the market board that goes up and down in price.

With the speed and the way old content gets nerfed sure you can. Also just like a purchase in order to make my money I put in my hard work and dedication to my job I get paid, which I in turn use for my "reward"

From what I'm reading the people complaining about the relic quest don't even like the relic weapon or find it useless. If you don't have time to farm and you don't have the money for materia, then why do you even want to do it?
I don't understand your logic of bashing a piece of gear and yet you ask to make it faster/easier. Just go get your FcoB/Shiva weapon if you don't want to work on a useless relic for so long. I've made my two Zodiac before anything was nerfed and it wasn't difficult to make back then. But if it's too hard for you still then really just go get another weapon.

On a somewhat related note, if you do view them as just vanity then technically it should be easier since you don't have to use tier IV materia. Split it into three or four stats and glamour that Novus over whatever better weapon you probably already have.

Can we just nerf map costs for sol tomes?
U can easily get max tomes and only get 4 done due to each costing 500 tomes each.
Or even better, use GC seals for alexandrite purchases as i\\'m pretty sure you guys farmed a lot passively due to farming fates in hopes of getting alex.
So that way we can speed up the process and take out the rng factor of hoping u get drops from fates.
Cuz doing the daily at this point is pretty lame if ur going to tough it out 75 days from now. Then u gotta light farm ^^ then do more dungeons for drops and get desynth materials etc.
by then you\\'ll be still behind and probably won\\'t catch up till 3.0 lol

Alex maps are 400 each, which is effectively half of their original cost. It's been nerfed already.

If you can buy alex with GC seals, that's news to me and I would've been doing that all along.

But hey rng is half of this game\\'s life span. If they take out rng then a lot of ppl will qq there\\'s nothing of value to accomplish as they have finished everything on the first week.
Rng the double ended sword,
Makes ppl suffer but lets other ppl rub their ego just cuz they
"Worked" for it.

Also a lot of ppl r using " i " cuz it worked for "them" BUT it doesn\\'t mean "others" will be as fortunate.
