Definitely level WAR too. It gives you perspective and more options, plus you might just really like it.

Level 47 now and I'm still having a blast. In fact, it only got better since I got unchained, and more recently steel cyclone(wow this ability is fun!)
The grind is seriously getting to me, as this will be my 7th job at 50. I'm really sick of leveling but I'm pushing forward as I'm super pumped to hit 50.
After I get there and play for a bit I will give my verdict on if warrior is in fact for me.

should at least have a full i100 set ready when you hit 50 thenLevel 47 now and I'm still having a blast. In fact, it only got better since I got unchained, and more recently steel cyclone(wow this ability is fun!)

I do already for my 47 drg
so many tomes and st makes it even easier with the buyable weapons
I have full upgraded soldiery gear + weapon with some IW jewelry ready to go. Don't have to worry about sands or oils or anything.
Ok so I hit 50 earlier today and I have a question about big pulls in dungeons, especially the current exp roulette ones.
I did a keeper run and did the same size pulls as I do on my PLD and it just seemed like I was taking way too much damage, and the healer was having a hard time keeping my hp up. We got through just fine but it just felt like I was doing something wrong, considering how easily I run the place on my pld.
I guess maybe I just don't have my timings of CDs down well enough like I do on PLD.
Or maybe I was too focused on trying to do damage, using steel cyclone a lot.
I'm not sure if IB is worth it or not on big aoe pulls like that.
It was only my 2nd dungeon at level 50 as a WAR though, and I wasn't used to having infuriate quite yet (still not.)
Ok so after running a good few dungeons (ironically, only keeper of the lake because exp roulette hates me) and also getting in some Levi ex kills(lost with horribad rolls on mount and mirror(I think I'm closing in on 60+ kills now q.q)
I can say. Warrior is for me. This is seriously a blast.
Like wow. I'm still not great but I can definitely tell I'm getting comfortable with the timings of my skills during a boss fight to successfully mitigate big hits and keep myself up.
I definitely have a lot to improve on but for once I can actually say I can see myself maiming a tank as a warrior.
This might just be the job I focus on from now and be the first I take to 60 in the xpac.

Congratulations! I am glad you have found your "home"!
Indeed. Thank you.
It's been around 4ish days now of being level 50 and I've only gotten better and started enjoying it more especially now that I really have muscle memory kickin in for everything.
I thought I would start getting tired of it like I did with PLD but that hasn't happened so far and doesn't seem like it will ^_^
This job has everything I want. I even have been queueing wolves den and wrecking people as warrior it's great!

I find WAR to be far from the mundane just due to the ways you can do things. PUSH DPS, Push your redline with pulls, mitigate and soak like crazy. There are a lot of different things you can do as a WAR to keep the tanking fun.
I have always and always will be a turtle though. So I have that special place for my PLD. He is all bizness. WAR is when I wanna go batsh*t crazy and live a lil, lol.
Interesting to see what happens when we get DRK.

Nice to hear you are having fun with the class, I'll have to saw WAR is super fun to tank with at the end game, especially when you learn how to do lock out pulls with it![]()
