    Is Warrior for me?

So I leveled my Paladin a but ago, and I enjoy it..or at least, I enjoy the many defensive CDs I have and using them wisely is fun.
But..I'm just not feeling the rotation, at all.

I've been wanting to level Warrior since before I even leveled PLD but I've never gotten around to it.

Basically. I want to tank, playing my pld quite a bit I can see myself maiming(lol) a tank, but I can't see myself maining pld. So I thought maybe warrior is for me.
I want to be a tank but I'm tired of these wussy numbers on my pld, I'm tired of not having that big hp pool, and I'm tired of hitting 1-2-3 to keep emnity and dps, its extremely stale.
As I said, I really enjoy the many CDs though, how is warrior in that regard?

I'm pretty sure warriors rotations is a bit more complex than pld and that intrigues me, I also like the concept of inner beast and I'm curious to play with it myself in game.

So hearing all this, am I meant to be a warrior?

Edit: I realize this is all opinionated but I think I need some motivation to level because I'm sure I'll enjoy it at 50 but the pains of leveling yet another job are getting to me.

Also I guess I should note if I got level 50 on warrior he would immediately be in full i110-120 gear

Better variety of rotation but less variety of defensive cooldowns. Easy as hell to get a tank to 50 and you should be 26 at least already right? Go for it and give it a shot. There's only very rare occurences of wanting 2 of the same tank job so you'll open your options up a bit even if you don't end up liking it more.

Does this make you chuckle? It's comedic but still pretty accurate.

Warrior's pretty fun. More durable than it gets credit for, and it looks really cool in full plate wielding a crazy looking ax. Rule of cool says moar warriors.

I find playing my warrior a lot more fun than my paladin at the moment, but it could also be because my warrior is max and my paladin is not

Thanks for the responses. That picture made me laugh pretty hard.

I think a big draw to warrior for me is I want to tank but still get to see high numbers/big crits. I don't get that really with pld..like at all.
    It just feels very bland.

Edit: somehow I failed to mention PLDs lack of aoe damage...that is most definitely the biggest drawback for me. It's no fun spamming flash

Pretty much how Tanking is. Your not suppose to see big number only when a big number is hitting you and the sweet cake of it is how much did you reduce that big huge hit by? It's always sweet seeing a MB deal 0 HP damage or a mega flare dealing 300 Damage due to mitigation not just on my part but healers Adlo and Stone Skin.

PLD is my main but I also have WAR too, I try to main both but I'm more as ease with my PLD. I only switch to PLD depending on the situation.
I believe there is secret way to playing your job. Once you get really used to it you start doing things you wouldn't thought of doing the 1st time you start playing and you do things that you makes you think "why didn't I do this before?" like putting my Bloodbath with Fight or Flight or Stone Skinning myself on those brief breaks I have. I notice not many PLD's do that but really should as it helps the heals.

war may have less cooldowns, but they have more uptime, path is better than halones debuff, and ib is a heal and a shield
and vengeance and bloodbath only gets better and better the more things you have on you

yes well, a lot of pld are bad
I blame the gla and pld quests all being super easy and lame, and the whole "3 button dance" design
and the fact that scorn isn't till level fucking 50

No harm in trying, if you think warriors your class then jump on it, or you could play both if you wanted to as it's easy to spread gear between them.

Btw the 'wussy' numbers thing is irrelevant because the way both WAR and PLD damage is slightly different, with pally having more ofc attacks and a fast auto attack speed, whereas warrior is mainly on the GCD and produces larger numbers to make up for it as well as needing the larger numbers to make inner beast work as well as it does.

If you gear correctly you can see some nice crits, though not nearly as big as warrior. The best I've seen so far is 1150-ish on Spirits Within. Rage of Halone regularly crits for 900+. I need more strength gear. :3

I dunno. I've started optimizing my gear for DPS after reaching the minimum accuracy requirement simply because Parry builds aren't so great. The return on it is atrocious. I get that I'm a tank first, but why not do all the damage I can? Yes the DPS should be meeting DPS checks on their own, but it's nice to have a little extra push from the tank too. I do have to admit it's fun to see tank crunchers do 0 damage, though. Laughing in the mob's face always makes my day. I make sure to compliment my healers on their mitigation when I see that. ^^

Right? I can't believe the amount of paladins I've seen that don't self stone-skin or use things like FoF/BB together. Self stone skin has saved my butt more than a few times when I'm completely out of other cooldowns. It seems like fully half of the PLD I get in DF when I heal barely even use CD's, much less use them effectively. :s
