Being able to make your own LS / Player ran Company cannons, boats, buildings, cakes, and airships got me so excited when this info came out..that it got me to pick up a crafting tool or three. What happened to great ideas like this? Please Yoshi consider this idea, Thank you for your time.

I believe Yoshi and the developing team already commented on some of the things in this video, like the ship stuff and how it didn't have a point or reason for being in the game.

How about endgame content? ESP for crafters and DOW/DOM? Cakes or big food related items could be made for grand celebrations such as a wedding etc. Ships could be another type for transportation. They talk of other ship routes currently closed b/c of pirates in the area etc. Would have to fight off possbile pirates from stealing much needed cargo for citystates or pirates attacking ferries or fisherboats. Fishers could have boats for fishing. Able to have players particapate in the boat race for admiral? and everyone would agree the we need player housing / LS buildings.

Cakes? Oh if they add cakes I demand bacon aswell.

Anyway, We likely haven't seen any of this content because there are substantially more important issues that have needed addressing in the past months since launch. What good would this fancy stuff do if the battle system was still a smoking pile of scrap metal? Sounds good though and I hope we get this stuff soon!

It was a novel idea, but we have no use or structure to use such items, big cakes? who would carry them? If it's just a furnature peice where do you put it? If it's a quest item why need a group to make it?

There are alot of logistical issues that come with these "Group" crafts mainly in implementation of their use and function.

Best bets is when/if Player run companies are created it will be used for that, your guild has a large ammount of high level crafters? Well you can then make a new boat that when used in "Sea" content has perks like being able to reach your destination faster, or perhaps can enfeeble monsters who board your ship in transit.

Perhaps if they used player owned boats in instanced boss fights there would be advantages to having a upgraded boat during that boss fight. Shields on the boat to reduce damage it (Or players) take.

We don't have the infastructure to implement these ideas currently, Yoshi-P stated he would love to add it, they just have no use for it right now. Give it time.

I understand that things needing to be fixed before adding new things I just dont to see this idea scrapped.

I don't expect to see any of this until they finally put a date to PS3 launch, I expect an expansion around that time, where most of this sort of stuff would likely come in. I wouldn't mind being proved wrong though.
