Ever since patch 2.4 came in I've been lagging more and more now 2.5 is here and i'm lagging so bad its becoming frustrating to just play the game I can't even craft without getting 3-5 second delays after i use a skill. What's going on with the game, it's not just me is it?

Happens to me too.
And whenever I bring it up on the forums I get the "use WTfast it's your ISP's fault you lag"
and I bought a month of WTfast to try it out and it's not doing anything at all, "connection improvement 5%" but still lagging like crazy.

During prime time I can't do Ex primals so I have to play on my alts doing low level dungeons where I can't cause wipes

Pretty sure it's not my ISP's fault considering I've never lagged until patch 2.4

I don't craft, but i'm not having that lag with anything else.

Ive been lagging like crazy lately as well. I am 100% sure its not on my end. I get the same delays with crafting.. and the lag comes and goes a lot. Its starting to drive me insane! I get average 30 mbps down and 10 up. I should not be lagging like this...

I didnt notice any lag till 2.5. Now it is extremely bad and since I am a healer or tank, I am starting to not be able to raid because of this.

Ya last few weeks have been pretty brutal. I am on Comcast and its routing through Tata to get to the data center. The crazy thing is I will get these 1 to 5 second network pauses during raiding Final Coil or WoD while running a ping to the server. My pings have 0% loss, an average ping of around 40ms, and a max ping of under 100ms. In other words as far as ping is concerned my link to the server is fine, but the game experience feels more like 300+ ms ping and 5% packet loss. Other people in my group are not seeing the lag I am though.

Have you tried it with different VPN locations? Depending on just where you are getting routed at the other side of the tunnel, you could still be running into routing issues...possibly even the same.

really hope SE finds a fix for this soon I can't run much of anything right now because the lag gets so bad.

In far too many cases, we are finding it is an issue with our ISP's peering/transit exchange points to third party networks used to get us to Ormuco (SE's ISP), or within the network segments of those third parties. SE has no influence over those policies---but your ISP does. You will have to go to your ISP's tier3 support about such issues if you find them on your assigned route to Montreal.
