Moving servers when you possess a personal/FC Housing. What happens?

Hi everyone,

Just wondering what happens when you switch servers when you possess a personal/FC house and you switch over. What happens exactly? Has anyone done it personally or know of someone who has done this?

First, the house does NOT transfer over with you. It doesn't matter which ever it may be a personal or free company house. If you are the leader of a free company and other members decide NOT to transfer with you, one of those member will be assign leader of the free company and the free company house will remain with them in the server that you transferred out of. This is my understanding and from what I have read in regard to this.

You will need to buy a new house at the server that you decided to transfer to. So it be in your best interest if you decide to transfer is to FIRST, create a character on the server you want to transfer and check if plots are available, if any. Also if you're inclined to transfer to a legacy server, don't bother transferring if you're in the idea of getting a house.

Ah, I was aware of the house not transferring over with me.

I'm sorry, what I meant was what happens to all my belongings? When I transfer or prior to it, is there some sort of permit that allows my housing items to stay as is so that when I do buy a house on the new server the items are just set in the same spots? Or do I have to pull them all out individually and place them into my retainer?

There is not. If you want to keep the items from your FC house, you'll need to take them all and put them on your retainers for safekeeping. Of course, anything that cannot be removed (like the crafting benches and such) won't be able to come with you either as they'll be destroyed if you try to remove them.

Also, just fyi, any items that are currently on the marketboard for sale should be taken down as well. Transferring with them still up may accidentally end up with the loss of the items for sale.
