I wonder which poor player played through the entire raid, solo with no competition, and lost the loot to you. Hate this system so much. It's not so much your fault, or the guy that dropped outs fault. It's just a bad system. RNG reward for your effort is just bad. Make me do the dungeon 20 times, BUT give me a reward. I'll do it, really I will.

In all honesty I think they could fix this without increasing any drops at all.

For instance, lets say Nin gear drops for Group A, no ninja in the group and no one wants it, instead of it rotting away, that piece should then open up to groups B and C at that point.

The loot change I'd like to see would be that all classes get their respective pieces of equipment from the same bosses, as in, First boss has gloves and shoes for all classes, second boss has pants and helmets for all classes, last boss has chestpieces and, when introduced, upgrade items. That way, people who're just after their chest won't drop left and right after whichever boss would've dropped their piece. Giving the last boss the highest incentive should cut down on early leavers. It would also be more fair towards all those classes who currently have their chestpiece dropping from the last boss, while they watch other classes get theirs along the way and leaving before the end.

The amount of poetics you get from WoD should be dramatically increased. You get 40 Poetics from a 4-man dungeon that takes 1/3 of the time WoD does. You should get 60 Poetics from each WoD run, not 20.

The Puff of Darkness should drop at the end of EVERY WoD run. You already have to roll against 23 other people. The minion not being a guaranteed chest is a joke at this point.

The sought after items (chest pieces mainly) should have a higher drop percentage weight than belts that literally nobody wants.

    1) That's exactly why the poetics yield is so low. The gear and such are sought after, and thus people will run the dungeon over and over. If it's 60 per, then people will cap after 8 runs, which isn't unusual. If they do their weekly for the carboncoat it goes down to about 7 runs. And WoD runs really don't take that much longer than a dungeon unless you get a bad group.

    2) They've never done this with minions. All minions from dungeons are supposed to be "rare." The puff and warrior of light are no different.

    3) Chest pieces are rare BECAUSE they're good. Look at BCOB, SCOB, and FCOB: Most of the chest pieces drop from the later coils, with none dropping in the first. There's always been a mentality in MMOs of chest pieces being rare. Also, they're just simply not going to alter the drop rates if they're all even.

Tell me about it, scouting and monk gear is the only things that drops in that silly dungeon, with the occasional random job loot.
Especially tank gear... im up at 30runs+ and only seen 2 pieces so far. Good thing is that as solo tank you will get it if it drops

I always seem to see mage or DRG gear, rarely see NIN or tank gear.

See, that's a problem right there. I understand the duty finder system grabs anyone who is available for the raid, but there should be a step that reorganizes the group to eliminate possible redundancy. I had a LotA once where Alliance A had 4 bards, B had 4 spellcasters, and C was 3 dragoons and a monk.

This issue is well over a year old by now, so no chance they will improve the duty finder in 2.X. Let's just hope that they have a new loot system for 3.0, or with three new classes being added things will be super messy.

Loot drop rate is random. Nothing in WoD is really BiS since its 120. If you want you could just do hunts for 130 gear if you dislike RNG.

Also, with so many people leaving, even when you end in a party where You are the only caster/dragon/bard or whatever in the end with all the replacements going on You would always have somebody with whom compete with the results that game experience is everything but enjoyable.

Please, I think you can easily check the "quit rate"...
What I don't understand is why they don't just have all of the chests drop after the last boss? Doesn't that solve the issue of people leaving after they get their roll or if the piece they want doesn't drop? Or am I over simplifying that?
