I expect it to be a few more months. We aren't getting the second half of 2.5 until the end of March, so they can't really share any information yet because of spoilers until probably the middle or end of April, depending on when it's getting released.

I would guess that we would know a great deal more by the time patch 2.55 rolls around. That patch is the set up for the expansion, so it seems unlikely that too much time would pass between 2.55 and 3.0.
