Forager hat or go for rod???

I have 11 HQ Silvers and so tempted to turn in for the hat... what should I do? I am at 334 gathering and around 280 perception with current gear and food btw.

While I'm not a regular fisher, I went for the hat first because of the fact it also can help miners and botanists. The rod is only for a single job.

And you can also use it for glamour on any of your jobs too if that's your thing

Go for the rod, then sell cats and make millions.

If you have another gathering job use that to get the hat and the fish to get the rod.

save silver sovereigns for rod and using miner to get hat.

Either way you're collecting 30 sovereigns, by getting the hat first you're making it logically easier to get the remaining 20.

But anyway, get the hat via either mining or botany. Faster/easier than via fishing.
