Balmung, Why Do You Elude Me?

Two days in a row now, I've been checking at the posted times to see if this server is open to make a new character on. Two days now there hasn't been a single opening.

I really wish there was a dedicated RP server. It's driving me nuts that I can't play on the server I want because people refuse to log off Q_Q

Even tried getting a character in before maintenance. Nope, server stayed locked till all servers came down.

Don't want to play on any other server than the one that has actual RP. Why don't they do something about this? I just started and even though I enjoy the game I refuse to do much since I can't play on my server of choice.

Have you tried unplugging and plugging back in your router? Sometimes that helps solve the problem of square using borrowed equipment from Edios of Canada in Montreal.

You can find RP communities on many other servers due to RPers working to establish homes for those who can't get on Balmung (I've been seeing RP events and LS/FCs appearing in the Party Finder more and more here on Siren). Ultimately this is the best outcome because it helps further distribute people and keeps servers stable. I would say ask around on the various world sub-forums. You may find what you are looking for.

If you're into E-RP then Balmung is the place to be.

They have opened Balmung wide open for new people tonight, but only for the hours of 9pm to 12am, PST.

It's not that people refuse to log off. Nightly Balmung has a login queue, but it goes really fast--there's constantly people logging off, but new people are taking their place.

Anyway, to get on Balmung, just roll a character in the early morning (like 6am). It can be frustrating to have to wait but once you're in the right time window, it's that easy!

Also, refresh the server list often if it's closed. It updates every 3 minutes or so. (Not talking about the lodestone list, the in game one). Good luck!
