The Minstrel's Ballad: Ultima's Bane should be added to Duty Roulette: Trials.

Not sure why, but The Minstrel's Ballad: Ultima's Bane isn't included in the duty roulette. Since fights with both higher requirements for entry as well as unlock later being in the roulette, I can't see a reason why this isn't included yet. Is there something that I am missing or is this pretty cool fight just been overlooked?

It's a fight that many feel the item level is way TOO low. I've tried clearing this with Mostly new 50's from my FC. It's nearly impossible to clear with low geared players.
Even If you put this fight in the DF roulette, you may see players just LEAVE and eat the 30 min down time. Just like some players treated Titan hm in roulette at one time. This fight gives out item lv 80 rings right? A high level player can buy 120 rings and upgrade to 130 in no time. Making this fight ...kinda worthless for the small Sol tomes it may pay out.

I feel for yea, but you're just going to have PF this with a stacked team of OP friends if you're looking to clear it sometime soon.

It's on par with an EX fight in my opinion. At least with the group I PF'd and had to explain the entire fight to (pretending I knew what I was talking about, when I really just looked up some guides for it). I'd rather not occasionally get it for the pain it likes to inflict, but maybe with even 2-3 experienced players, it can help move it along better.

I kinda agree with OP. Just like they should add Cape Westwind to Main Scenario by now. I've ever only seen it pop ONCE in Trial roulette, and many people need it to continue the storyline. It'd be a change of pace from knowing MS roulette is 1 of two long boring dungeons, having that face roll fight would be a welcome change of pace. High chance of virgin tomes, and an easy Soldiery. What bad can possibly come from this being added to Main Scenario, please, state it now.

It used to be in Main Scenario, but they changed it to trial. There are a lot of people (myself included) that prefer to queue for Trial and not for Main Story because Trials take significantly less time to complete even if the reward isn't as high. You also run the risk of people fishing specifically for Westwind and dropping the other two if they don't get it if it is added to Main Story.

...Really? I loved this fight, a lot. It was fun and dodging is always interesting. If it's the same as EX fights than I guess I should stop worrying about them, and just try them out. I've been avoiding EX fights because they seem far harder than everything else... So if this is the same? They must be easy.

I would say it's on par with Garuda EX difficulty but not quite as hard as Levi Ex and nowhere nearly as hard as Titan EX at least in the sense Ultima MB version is more forgiving than Titan EX (I can't speak for the others since that's as far as I have got or more specifically as far as I have tried yet).

Haven't tried Moogle King, or Ramuh yet etc so can't compare. Odin currently is only equivalent of a hard mode version of Odin but I am not looking forward to the EX version of that when comes out especially if the current Odin is the easy version and not hard or EX version.

There is only one single tough bit I think in the Ultima MB version which is the linked lightning balls which people in my experience keep messing up way too much. Overall I think Ultima MB version is okay to add to duty roulette but it MUST have it's ilvl requirement increased in my opinion because the difficulty of it does not match the current ilvl requirement.

If UltimaHM is included in trials roulette, I'm sure a lot of people would stay away from it with the risk of getting into UltimaHM and doing lots of wipes.
I would suggest having a pretty good drop instead much like the ponies of EX trials.

It's on par with Garuda Extreme in difficulty. It not being in roulette is a good thing.

I love the fight myself, but incompetent people make it unbearable.
