Agreed. Crosshotbar space is typically much too valuable to waste a slot dedicated to a single type of potion. Nearly every ability I use is macroed to one degree or another, such as combining Cover, Shield Lob, and Shield Bash into a single macro. (Target is an ally? Use Cover. Target is an enemy? If within range, use Shield Bash, if not, Shield Lob.) I would LOVE to have a /item command, to make Potions usable within macros!

And on the topic of the importance of macros when using the crosshotbar - we need more than 100 macros! After leveling every job, I have no room left for Dark Knight, Astrologian, or Machinist, let alone macros for new abilities we get on existing jobs as we level to 60!

You guys need to learn how to optimize the cross hotbar better. You can play nearly every job with 1 bar and the combo bar without having to use stupid macros that grant you "efficiency" but actually only make you worse because of how horribly designed the macro system is. As a tank I suppose it doesn't matter too much, but a DD is only losing potential dps with all their buffs on one macro or multiple weapon skill macros.

My point is that if you optimize the cross hotbar correctly you can have plenty of space for your jobs x-potion of choice.
