Once again can you people stop saying no more HNM? just add BCNM,POP version of it and allow other to fight the HNM if they like top of that there only 1hour pop time so does it even matter? No more HNM please.... this is 'one' of the reason I left my own linkshell.
I made the linkshell for JP/NA combined when NA FFXI was released and goal of the linkshell was to have fun going on adventures and helping each other out at same time having both JP and NA players communicate in one linkshell while they learned each others languages.... from players like me who can speak/write both languages....
Anyways... Once HNM's came into play some guys wanted to be full on HNMLS which we did and it just became routine work and as time passed all the fun players who came on just to have fun talking, doing stupid fun stuff in game left and only those left were those that felt they had to stay and help or those hardcore 24/7 players who wanted to get the items and didn't care what time it was; they will be online and camp... with real life with work, family it's really hard to do...
One thing though I did like the concept of HNM roaming around the open world (although in FFXI it was pulled instantly on pop, pops up red name lol), maybe can do something about it like regular HNM roaming around will attack the players and stuff good to give it the live feeling, while to fight it like others are saying in here, make it not actual BCNM type instanced area but instanced open world like how the faction leve NM's work right now.
If it was me I would make it something like when the open world HNM is roaming around is the only time you can trade the pop item to get into the instanced area to fight it. The HNM has a specific time frame it pops/depops depending on environment or time/hour in game just like FFXI. Only difference is it's multi-instanced (more than one group can fight at same time) and even after kill if the HNM is still up in the open world anyone can still fight it.
Kind of like HNM is up now so if you want to do it lets go! and same time don't have to fight with other LS's/groups over pop, and make sure its multiple instanced so we don't have to wait for groups to finish before starting your own.
EDIT: fixed it up a bit...

Reason why I put it that way in mine is cuz you know if they made it 2 types people will expect devs to make different drops from the hardcore HNM drop VS instanced HNM drop. I'm for the HNM just don't like the gotta wait for the HNM pop time to fight pulls with other linkshells and wasting HOURS/DAYS/WEEKS when not getting the claim... specially if you're fighting against people using bots to pull the HNM...

huh this is not about hardcore vs casual it just about getting more way of doing something. you know what the reward for doing the BCNM would be? you can trade/sell that good enough reward for me. The bot issue i know this hand down every linkshell in ffxi who did HNM was bots in my world if your linkshell did not pay 60mil or w/e price they ask for a bot or real life money for it you wont be doing jack which is very sad.Reason why I put it that way in mine is cuz you know if they made it 2 types people will expect devs to make different drops from the hardcore HNM drop VS instanced HNM drop. SE can fix the bot issue if they attack it hand on if not then we going to have this issue again in ffxi so it does not matter.
they should just make two version it's not that hard seeing how they can make a HNM mob and use the same .dat for the bcnm version so it's not much work.

Pretty sure most HNMLS in FFXI used bots to pull the HNM remember LS guys talking oh JP linkshell going to win pull because they are in Japan and the latency lol.huh this is not about hardcore vs casual it just about getting more way of doing something. you know what the reward for doing the BCNM would be? you can trade/sell that good enough reward for me. If the drops from regular or BCNM one is same (say BCNM is lower rate drop) then I'm OK with it, it still gives me the chance to at least try when I can try. I just don't want to bother fighting pull with another LS no more... specially when you know you not going to win pull against bot users.
Hopefully SE can make it work if they do plan on adding HNM's

That not very true i use up most of my time farming around area that HNM are and the top people getting it everyday was NA even on JP time latency have noting to do with it. The bot get the HNM before it even pop up for NA which mean the bot see it right on time as the JP see it which mean it up to which bot is faster to get the HNM lol.Pretty sure most HNMLS in FFXI used bots to pull the HNM remember LS guys talking oh JP linkshell going to win pull because they are in Japan and the latency lol.

BCNM= lower drop rate and you can sell
HNM= higher drop rate and rare,ex
This way casual can do it without issue but once again the bot issue would happen matter what if SE does noting about it.
I don't want this game to become 100% instance and noting no one on the open everyone just in town and go do instance all day.that the issue we going to have if there no NM walking outside at least they be people doing both the way i say it.

lol that part was just joking w I know it had nothing to do with latency stuff since NA linkshell guys did get pulls over linkshells on my server many times but I remember on vent people used to say that whenever JP linkshell guys get HNM or I forget the NM name... the golem NM in Tu'lia for one for pop item for Genbu/Suzaku/Byakko wThat not very true i use up most of my time farming around area that HNM are and the top people getting it everyday was NA even on JP time latency have noting to do with it. I agree with what you're saying, makes sense your way![]()

FFXIV was sold for every type of playstyle so BCNM,HNM is good for both casual and hardcore and it give life outside the city if it going to be all bcnm type then why even have areas lol.lol that part was just joking w I know it had nothing to do with latency stuff since NA linkshell guys did get pulls over linkshells on my server many times but I remember on vent people used to say that whenever JP linkshell guys get HNM or I forget the NM name... the golem NM in Tu'lia for one for pop item for Genbu/Suzaku/Byakko w
