They need to have both. (like Nidhogg/Aspi/KB in XI and Einherjar, they droped the same gear except 1 is instanced and 1 set is World Hnms)
IF they do not add HNMs they are going to piss off alot of people who came over from XI and prevent some people from XI from eventually coming over. They might be a small % of the MMO world but they make up probally over 50-60% of the current playerbase.
Add World NMs, and have the item be a rare drop for a instanced raid. (so say a 75-100% drop from the 24-72hr spawn world HNM and a 5% extra bonus drop from a dungeon.) That way the 5min cooldown with raids will not negate the World NMs, but those who do not want to camp can just run the raids. <= makes the casuals and hardcores happy
All the people screaming no World Spawns is as bad as the hardcores screaming make everything take 18-36 people to do. The game needs content for both casuals and Hardcores... and alot of FF vets are expecting world spawns.
Fafnir/Adamantoise/Bahemoth/Nidhogg/Aspi/KB are all force pop. 95% of the NM and HNM in Abyssea is force pop. Including end game content in Sky, and Sea. However HNMs like Cerberus, Khimaira and the joke of a HNM Hydra with lottery spawns between 3-5 days... Nobody care for those anymore. Thanks to Abyssea farming for pops etc.

Btw the new post by yoshi-p pretty much say they making more and more world NM so this topic is pointless now.

HNM is fine, but add timer into it to prevent bot camping. After player engage this NM, all the players in the same PT will not be able to engage it again within 24 hours or one week.

i like the idea of timers on players themselves for hnm's ..that will keep it so same players aren't killing them every time. least not on same character. but i also hate the idea of timers lol ...hate when the hardness of content is waiting to do it twice a week rather then ramming threw it couple times a day till i'm done with it.
either way i'll look forward to hnm's but in no ways will i like 3hr pop windows an comming from afk every 25mins to try claiming, this should never come back, keep us always killing an fighting, not standing around.



Why can't we have both? After a while, they won't be jumped on so much. I mean come on.. look at the NM's now


If they add King/Wyrm like HNMs I would rather there be no respawn time and No Windows. Try to make it where it just simply spawns randomly.
1) Make it where it can spawn again in like 10secs all the way up to it can take 5 days on main hnms.
2) Make it have a large Spawn area... sorta like All of Corethas, or The whole eastern part of Thanalan. Something that while I guess still doable would just not be reasonable to camp especially with no timer or windows. OR do the sandworm/DI thing make it randomly spawn in any zone, anywhere more or less.
If they make the window with a massive large range and the area vast enough... gona make it really hard to actually effectively camp and monopolize anything.
Timers are not a bad idea on claim either, make it something like the Wyrm fades into the mist and despawns to repop somewhere else if you are not outside the cooldown yet and make it where if 1 person in the party has the timer up no one in the group can claim it unless the person is droped.
