    I do not think the problem is Hnm, it is not world/free roam nms. The problem is the players and that is why they want to implement such a claiming system. All should be fine with it, so why would you not mind some world/roam nm's along side more dungeons and instanced stuff similar to einherjar, salvage, and dynamis?

    I don't even know what wrong with the OP it starting to look like a new troll is born on the forums but anyways there no need to not have them. You can have both but i guess the person does not understand this i can't wait for this game to become P2P so people who don't want to play the game wont troll the forums with dumb ideas.

    making them in instances is fine

    but why not make them in and out of them?

    NMs dont need to be one way or another, they can be all ways

    Hasn't stopped them before. They claim the mob, then offer to let people "buy" a slot in the party to lot the item. Anything in the treasure pool is fair game, whether it's tradable or not.

    really, have you played FFXI at all since the change? that rarely happened, unless the item was so great it was a must have, and even then it quickly went away because they realized how little bussiness they made.

    and if you want to go that way, they even used instanced stuff to sell, they would do the same thing (buy an item and they get it for you) so should we s just say no instanced versions either, cause they can exploit that too.

    might as well take out all the NMs and any monsters that drop decently priced items because rmt can camp over it and exploit it. might as well instance the whole game because of RMT, better that way right?

    Saying 'please no more HNM' is probably the single worst suggestion I've heard so far for this game.......

    HNM's with a focus on instancing such as in BCNM's or raids is one thing, but I think the game needs a variety of content, which means lots of HNM's, including the non instanced versions... Just make them really really super hard to kill, so that it's harder to monopolize them.. And find a way to make it so if your ls wipes to it, you can't reclaim it for at least an hour or something to prevent people from just sending in a trickle of suicides to keep the claim... Especially with the negligible death penalty, meaning that's even more likely to happen.

    And of course, SE has to keep up on the anti botting efforts... And instant perma-ban anyone caught using 3rd pt hax of any kind, and all the associated accounts too, of course.

    Aside from that, my suggestion would be to have instanced HNM's that drop the same items at a lower rate as the non instanced HNM's. That way, the items will never be fully monopolized, but you don't have to give up roaming NM's either. HNM's are too fun to just do away with altogether. And way too often, instanced content is so watered down and lacking in challenge because of player caps and time limits, that it just isn't as fun.

    So yeah... We need more HNM's... Just be careful about how you implement them and it'll all be fine. Screw getting rid of them altogether though, just because a few people don't like competition. Unfair competition sucks, granted, but if that's the issue, address that... Don't just scrap the whole layer of something over it... That's like cutting off your arm because you don't like the color of your nail polish.
