    [dev1130] Stealth will ultimately only work on mobs 50 and below?!?

    i know i am not the only player that cringed at the page about stealth abilities for DoL. the whole idea just does'nt sit well. indefinite stealth is cool, but the fact that you have to lvl up a DoL class all the way to at least 38 to ONLY be undetectable to lvl 50 mobs and below seems outright pointless.

    i don't think we were clamoring for stealth to hide from lvl 50 mobs. its the lvl 78's and lvl 80's and whatnot that stand in our way, waiting to devour us and making getting to certain camps, or even quests like the rank 36 storyline quest into mor dhona a near impossible task to do alone.

    at least make it so there is some way of avoiding these mobs, even if just temporary invis/sneak.

    Are you trolling here? Because it sure seems like it.

    The stealth ability is intended for DoL classes only, so that you can gather without getting smacked off your node. Not so you can run around the world invisible as a rank 1 PGL.

    lol actually you sound like you are trolling. i am not trolling at all, nor is my complaint so that lvl 1 can run around the world invisible, please read my post. dont look at words and letters and assume you have read it.

    anyways that is not what im saying. what i was saying is, more then just disciples of the land need a stealth ability. for example, why give us a quest to travel to Mor Dhona at r36, when the way the map is set up, it is impossible to do this at 36. now either the quest is broken, or the map is f****d, but this is just one example of why a stealth ability should be made more accessible. im not saying to make the ability indefinite so that lvls 1's can run around anywhere, but at least give us something like sneak/invis that lasts a short time and would help in situations as such.

    honestly, who cares if you get knocked off of a node? chances are this only happens when you are near end game miner rank, somewhere in your 40's, and it is'nt a mob under lvl 50 knocking you off that node. ultimately what i am trying to suggest is that the stealth they plan to implement is just a bit too constricted in my opinion.

    I get what you are requesting but I think we need to wait until they are done with mobs redistribution and map redesign before saying that. It's highly possible that along with that new ability, the mobs that are near the grade 5 nodes will be mobs under 50.

    I'm all for an ability DoW/Ms can use to be stealthy around mobs but the priority is DoL. You haven't even gathered before looking at your sig so you can't comment on how frequent aggro at nodes is. I saw a node in Halatali the other day right next to about 10 40+ aggro mobs in one of the caves. You couldn't even solo those mobs fast enough to clear a path to that node.

    As for the rank 36 Mor Dhona mission, the idea is to get to Mor Dhona via Black Shroud and Crimson Bark area, not via the rank 90 or whatever mobs near the Coerthas entrance or the rank 40-60 mobs near the Thanalan entrance. I'm pretty sure the mission text even directs you to go through the Shroud.

    I can't swear it is true across the board, but from what I've seen so far at grade 5, all the aggro mobs are 50 and under. As long as the devs are smart about not putting anything too high in the area of DoL nodes, this is going to be perfect.

    Part of me kind of wishes these abilities required guild marks instead of being learned automatically... but that's not too big a deal.

    nope, the black shroud way to mor dhona is also blocked by 70+ mobs. its pretty silly

    stop complaining about that, they are aware of the badly distributed mobs and will address it I am sure. So, in line with the DoL stealth skill being for mobs under level 50, they will also probably make it so that only mobs 50 or lower are near the grade 5 nodes, for the most part.

    plus, regarding that specific mission, a lot of people did it, I did it. You wait for the right time to dash and run if you aggro something and the mobs leave you after a short while.

    Maybe when we have higher grade harvester nodes in areas where the mobs are above 50 they will give us a t2 version of it.

    Most likely, but it will be a t5 version, cause they already have coeurl's step I to IV planned ^^
