Sending mail to alts

The game is mostly built around people having one character, simple as that. It's not really meant to be played like WoW in which people have alt armies.

It's not that nobody has figured out how to make the mailbox account-wide... not sure why you'd think that. They purposely made it so you are unable to send stuff to other characters under the same account.

FFXI says Hi. Sending to alts/mules would alleviate many problems in inventory space (just like in XI), yet since that space comes at a price (extra retainers) its why its a such a pain in-game for alts. Their only excuse is RMT, which by now, we all know didn't do jack to stop them in the slightest.

And yet, they allow you to make multiple characters on your account without buying another character slot so seems to me they are aware that alot (not all) of players like to have multiple characters. Adding the ability to send mail to these same account characters should go along with this. All I am asking is the ability to eliminate the middle man as it were.

Actually it's not quite that simple. The base monthly price (and lowest non-legacy) includes only a single character per server. If you wish to make more than one character on a server you have to pay a higher monthly price.
