Shinryu!

Something I just remember that may have Omega Weapon involved in if it happens in 3.0 MSQ.

So with Omega weapon in the game, do you think we may also get a FF14 version of Shinryu as well since 3.0 since Shinryu is a Dragon and 3.0 is partly about Dragons.



Imaging if we see a Omega Weapon vs Shinryu fight in 3.0 Main Scenario and the final boss of 3.0 is Omega and Shinryu. It may even serve as a homage to how both Shinryu and Omega was the final boss of Lifespring Grotto in FFV.

I have wondered when and if Shinryu would show up. The void makes his appearance very plausible (please see Dissidia). If he isn't at least hinted at or mentioned in part 2 then I dunno if were gonna see him.

Or he may get the dungeon boss treatment, which would be a GREAT disservice and an outright insult

Hopefully, the great Shinryu isn't going be benched as a weak dungeon boss :x, my heart is still bleeding about Diabolos, Siren and Fenrir. #neverforget.

Siren was actually a pretty difficult boss when her dungeon came out (so her being a dungeon boss is excusable, especially when she was pretty much a FFV reference... and is also a race in Eorzea). Diabolos and Fenrir though? Yeah, they deserved better (especially Fenrir. Unlike Diabolos and Siren, Fenrir is just "there" for no real good reason).

Possible. With Omega mentioned a few years back and now that we know Midgardsomnar (being the proginator of dragons) had 7 children and its strongly hinted at that Bahamut is one of his 7 children.

Then having him at the dravanian leader might not be too hard to believe

Assuming he's not the one that called out to the other dragons then maybe he could be the last boss of a 24man raid to unlock the facility Omega is locked in?

Midgard said he only sire 7 children. The Meracydians prayed to their 1st brood/lord Bahamut.

Siren and Diabolos were fine IMO, because they had a bit of difficulty when released and were engaging fights. (I screamed like a fangirl when Diabolos was revealed lol.) And no one was really complaining about them being dungeon bosses either.

Fenrir, however, pissed me off, as well as lots of other people, with how easy, boring, and disengaging it was. My problem with Fenrir has little to do with him not being an official Primal; it was mainly because it was lazy especially when compared to Diabolos and Siren. Hell, back in the day people dreaded being qued into Pharos Sirius and would rather eat the 30m penalty then to fight Siren with randoms.

Diabolos on the other hand, was done perfectly. The fight is really thematic and fits Diabolos well, and has the perfect amount difficulty where it is beatable by randoms but you have to pay attention for the entire fight. That's exactly how these dungeon-based 'summons' should be, not snoozefests like Fenrir.

With all this said though, I hope they don't turn Shinryu into a dungeon boss. He has the potential to be the final boss of any future 24 man raid.

Midgard said he only sire 7 children. The Dravanians prayed to their 1st brood/lord Bahamut.

Actually there is no lore atm, aside from pure speculation that Bahamut is one of Midgardsormsr's children. And Bahamut isn't Dravanian. He was the first brood of the Myrcedians.

They are the dragons still trapped inside the coils, in the stasis pod, constantly praying to Bahamut which is why he can reform so easily and stay materialized in our world thanks to the Coils.

OT: I'm not so sure if Shinryu will be related to the Dravanians, I see him being lord of some other dragon species or maybe nothing to do with Eorzea dragons all together, who knows just yet, I do hope we see Shinryu though ^^
