    Malfunctioning GM-Given Item

    I recruited my girlfriend to get her into the game. I received my friendship circlet, so I must have received my Aetheryte Pendulum but must have thrown it away on accident not knowing what it was.

    I just put in a support ticket regarding the lost Aetheryte Pendulum. I called Square-Enix phone support and they referred me to post this information to the "Report Harassment" feature. After placing the support call, a GM Contacted me while I was in WoD, but I could not respond back. Later I received a support moogle mail stating to give more information such as the time/date the item was lost and how it was lost:

    We understand how upsetting it can be no longer have an item you had previously, and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused for you. Since we understand how important an item like this can be to your enjoyment of the game, we will be glad to assist you in attempting to recover it.

    In order for us to be able to look into this matter, we will need some additional information regarding your item loss. Please reply to this ticket with the following information:

    Item name:
    Date/Time of item loss:
    How the item was lost (i.e. dropped, consumed):

    Once we have gathered this information, we can submit your request for further investigation.

    Please note that, under our current item restoration policy, we can only grant an item restoration once per account. Upon receiving the restored item, you may no longer be eligible for further item restorations.     I told them it was approximately June and I was cleaning out my inventory because it was full so I threw away some items that I felt were useless. I must have read the description of the item and thought it was useless or it didn't do anything.

    I first received a message stating I had to agree to the terms of item replacement. (once per account only). I later received a support mail stating it was not possible to retrieve the item. About a month later, I get a moogle mail message with the GM-Given Aetheryte Pendulum stating the item has been recovered.

    Upon using the GM-given Aetheryte Pendulum, my character acted like he was using the item but the item did not cast nor did it disappear out of my inventory. I still do not have access to teleport to my girlfriend in-game. (She is lvl 23 and still has a sprout.) I also did not receive the item on my other characters like I did my Friendship Circlet.

    I contacted the GM through Report Harassment again. I just received an email stating:

    So.... Here I am. My girlfriends subscription is about to run out and I don't think she is going to play anymore after it does. It would help if i could teleport to her when she needed help, but I guess I threw that away.

    We understand that you have ran into a potential Bug, and we can understand the frustration that this has caused you. The ability to teleport to new players in game to assist them is important indeed.
