Short write up on the NEGATIVE EFFECTS of HUNTS

Ok, here are the Negative effects of HUNTS I noticed and reports I gathered these pass few mths, since HUNTS are in play.

    Negative Health issues

Hearing loss: Primary due to the overwhelming of shouts and yells and Flares and Medica II going on around adventures during HUNTS.

Damaged eyesight: Flares and Holy need I say more? Seriously guys, do we really need AoE on them A mobs

"Overcure" symptoms: There are 2 reported types. First one is the adventurers' body built up a resistance to to healing spell, resulting in healing spells becoming less and less effective. Second is Healing spell addiction, in which the body developed a dependence to Healing spells, symptoms are runny nose, poor eyesight, muscle fatigue, etc. Symptoms generally goes away are a healing spell is cast on them.

    Negative effects on the Environment:

Declining Wildlife: Also due to Flare and Holy and other AoE spells. Surrounding wildlife that are caught in the crossfire dies, worst damage when an "S" pops.

    Damaging to Beastmen relations:

This is straight forward, I personally have no love lost with them, but, every time an "A" or "S" pops, it results like an all out invasion into their territory. Not great at building relations or asking them to stop summoning primals.

    Other reported incidents:

Inhalant abuse : Only recently discovered that inhaling Carboncoat fuses can induce delusions and paranoia, effects may differ from individuals or jobs, like Jumpy Dragoons, Depress Blacking Mages, Over positive White Mages, etc.

Research are still been conducted on Poor, Desperate, Malnourished and illiterate refugees in Ul'dah, under fair and safe environments. Till then, we may not know the full extend of this new vice.

    Final Notes:

Yes, this is not a perfect world, but we sure as hell can make it a better place for everyone and everything.

By the way, Oil of Time massages and Sands of Time facial masks don't work. Seriously, those are snake oils.

It encourages the kicking of puppies and general bullying. These are grown adventurers with 2.5 years of hunting experience, taking pleasure and even sadistic joy in the killings of marks who are barely 2.3 months of age.

Reports of Naul and the like are reproducing at a dangerously fast rate, as if the moment they die, another is immediately spawned within the area to take it's place. While this does not pose a risk of extinction, there may be more to it...

LOL reason they keep coming back is because people swarm them then leave with out cutting off their head to make sure they stay dead only explanation.

I read an article by Doctore Halatali in the Journal of the Rare & Esteemed Alchemical Physicians of Uldah that says repeatedly dying and being resurrected causes some sort of brain rot and taste for human flesh!! I mean... why would they lie? I've already bought a helmet made of tin that they mentioned would ward this kind of thing off. @_@

Don't think it works that way. Did that helmet you bought is really made from tin?

hey, wait, what's this fine print...

"Protection less reliable when combating hunt marks... side effects may include loss of willpower, uncontrollable QQ, and longer load times..."

Ah yes, Hyur flesh is weak, Miq'ote are not so affected by the rigors of an adventurer's fate, and besides, we have at least nine lives compared to your single Hyur life. I myself have been resurrected many times and as you can see it has had no negative effect, although my fur is a slightly darker blue and my eyes are a little more red... Incidentally, I believe that the consumption of lala-snacks wards off the ill effects of being raised. Although that may be a Miq'ote specific folk remedy mired in the ancient past, having no real validity in modern Eorzea where we fight along side our lala-sna...er...Lalafell friends...

Alchemical Physicians of Uldah indeed! Posh!!

That article was all but invalidated by the Elezen Entrepreneurial Enterprise back during the first Heavensturn of the Seventh Umbral Era! During the evil reign of the first elevation of Titan's powers, we could plainly observe all races being resurrected en masse, and not once did they turn on their fellow adventurers seething for flesh!

...they did seem to continue their propensity for chewing on rocks though...

On that note!: What we have determined is that (while not exactly brain rot) these multiple resurrections do actually accumulate over time into a detrimental personal effect that causes Debilitating Ulcers Manifested in one's Brain (EEE thought it would be easier to abbreviate this into D.U.M.B.).

There is no known cure yet....

They would probably need the help of health professionals and a trip into a detoxification centre.

I heard, Gridania had such centre to help those poor souls, it's called the "Bad behaviour on A ranks and above, Natural treatment centre" or to make it short, B.A.N.

    Detoxification is a myth dude....
