    My vision of a new queue system.

    I think that a new queue system is in order. We NEED to be able to see EXACTLY how many players are waiting in EACH GC and EACH MATCH so we know what to queue for. I think 8v8v8 and 72 should be split and que should be TRANSPARENT... the random queue thing is not good for PVP. Without transparency you have way to many dropouts that give up after X minutes b/c they have NO clue how many people they're waiting for or how long the que might last. It should be setup something like this..... something like this should appear in your Duty finder, Duty Status.

    72 Man Slaughter
    - 15 Flames
    - 10 Mael
    - 20 Adders

    24 Man Secure
    - 5 Flames
    - 8 Mael
    - 7 Adders

    *A new Adder ques for both and the bin automatically changes in real time*

    72 Man Slaughter
    - 15 Flames
    - 10 Mael
    - 21 Adders

    24 Man Secure
    - 5 Flames
    - 8 Mael
    - 8 Adders


    NOTE: There should also be a PVP Battle Board that displays this exact same information in wolves den IN REAL TIME that you can just walk up to and check out.

    People are spending over and hour waiting for an 8v8v8 to fill while others are instant queuing the 72 man matches b/c the system is god awful broken. I think we have all expereienced an extra long que and wound up in a 24 man match thinking... why did it take 45 minutes to fill up a 24 man? My friend just got into a 72 man.. and he qued after me... why was I waiting so long? (well, its because the queue system isn't working properly)

    If you support this please please please keep this thread going. Something like this is CRUCIAL to pvp.


    Edit: I would also like to point out something about PVP. PVP is dependent on something called critical mass. If you fall below critical mass PVP will die. When you have several different bins in a queue system that people can fall into w/o showing players who is waiting in those bins then you will ultimately start to hemorrhage players. This is because the auto-party finder is inadvertantly fragmenting the already small pvp population. For example right now if you choose roulette... you are in 4 different bins (72 and 24 man secure and 72 and 24 man slaughter).... this is a MAJOR problem. You also have the option of parties quing for both bins. There might be 4 bins open and people are waiting in every single one of them when they could have easily just started a few 8v8v8 matches or 72 man matches. There is no visibility what so ever. How exactly is the party finder is matching people? It is very obvious to some people that the party finder is not working properly and its filling up different bins at different speeds and there seems to be no logic to it at all. On top of that "join in progress" doesn't really work as intended. Square has to know about these issues... if they don't then they aren't paying attention. Something is majorly wrong and PVP is dying. This is needs to be fixed. ASAP.

    I plus one any overhaul of the system. But there silence about how it works and why certain people get in while other people who have qued longer do not. Tells me they are doing something hidden and that a chart of who has qued wouldn't matter. Just like in light party wolves den. If you don't match rank both teams will sit in que for 30 mins before it will let the play each other.

    Also i think slaughter should be dropped to 8vs8vs8 would probably get more ques if they could get the time down and during prime time more teams. While being curb stomped is no fun. If adders are filling match after match and flames get instant ques I can take a few losses.

    Yes to all of this, I enjoy Frontlines Secure or Slaughter, I just want more of it!

    Spending more time waiting to play than actual playing is wearing on me.

    I really dont understand why the ques are so long. No one does WD anymore so all the traffic should be flooding into FLs for instaques. Whatever matching system Square has in place is trash.

    Lol I totally agree, It would be similar on primal. However, Instead of showing "overage" I think it should start a whole new bin so all those "extras" would have a duty finder that looks like the below example. (Of course if there were drop outs in the other match it would ideally swap you back into the almost full match based on a timestamp for when you entered the que, first come first serve).

    72 Man Slaughter (this would be a clear indication that you should probably look for something else to do unless you don't mind waiting, or check battle boards, or do arenas because ideally this system would apply to arenas as well so you can see whos waiting)
    - 24 Flames
    - 0 Mael
    - 0 Adders

    At the very least this would give players visibility into the imbalance in GC population and give them more incentive to swap GCs to even teams out and make queue times faster. It would also let the overpopulated GCs know that ... maybe you should do PVE stuff for a while until things die down in your GC.... Right now, we simply don't know anything regarding GC PVP populations making the decision to switch that much harder.

    Q times and instances seem to have rebounded from free play weekend. That was a rough weekend.

    The Q system itself is still broken. It makes no sense. I know there are enough PvPers out there to get pops every 15 minutes or less. These 30+ minute Q's need to be looked at!

    I also think restricting the FL Roulette to single player is hurting this system more than it is helping. I PvP with friends. I like variety. Yet, I am punished for these things. Light Parties should have access to the PvP roulette.

    And, remove the GC restriction. It's creating issues. A mercenary system would be fine. That helps people with the RP mindset. SE is losing a lot of potential PvPers because certain GC's just suck on their datacenters. No one wants to lose ALL the time.

    I would take my premades to another GC if I knew we could queue faster. Right now its too hard to tell what the right choice is when even considering switching because the queue system does not tell you and 2 weeks is a LONG wait in an mmorpg.
