TANK LB COUNTERS COMETEOR SPAM.

This is why i laugh when people go 'lol tanks useless in slaughter'. Not only are they good for harassing the enemy team and coming out alive, they can completely counter the dominant strat with one button press.

Not quite, because you can't tank lb spam. Its not up no where near as frequently as cometeor spam and there are usually only a couple tanks per group on top of that. If tank LB could be built as fast as a blm/smn then I'd definitely agree with you.

I dont think you quite realize why Cometeor is up so frequently.

Its because they get kills with the spam, which leads to more LB bar, which leads to more spamming. If you prevent the deaths during the initial spam, you pretty much neuter the strategy.

Obviously cometeor will build faster if they are getting kills without it, but then its more of a healer issue OR an issue of people overextending into the team.

Except that works for your party only. Tank Adrenaline may save the 8 in your party, but not everyone else.

So BLM/SMN lb bar builds faster right. I don't care about the particularities. I already know about them, but the point is cometeor can be spammed because of this. Tank LB can't. Tanks can barely get battle fever/high.

It only builds faster if you are getting kills as a SMN/BLM.

Exactly. And what classes usually have the most kills in slaughter? What classes usually have the least?

Not to mention the lag Frontline gets when 72 people are spamming up top like crazy. In 8 man counters work. In 72 man i can walk from a circle on the little hex to behind the post and get hit by 3 separate cometeors. I would never aks/expect tank to time his LB in such conditions. I am happy if I can time attunement. Scolars can use magic def up and succor and negate 2 cometeors. But this is not a precision timed game. Most people accept that we can't counter as if we are playing Street Fighter.

If the buff lasted longer maybe we could have timed preventive measures. Then tanks would become way more valuable.

By far the worse PvP mode to date, I'm not a massive fan of the old Secure Frontlines but even that was far better than what Slaughter is. Can't even be bothered to get another 50 wins from this crap for the ADS mount. Whatever happened to the "revitalization" of Wolves Den?
