Weapon types you'd like to see in game

I'd want a scythe or something that dual wields a katana + wakizashi.

Dual Wield Fans are more awesome then one fan, and I believe two fans would make the dancing/battle animations much more symmetrical.

I haven't learned any of them since I've tended towards the bigger heavier weapons since I'm a larger dude, but the fan style techniques taught at the kung fu school I study at are almost exclusively dual-wield. Sure, there's some switch hand or even the occasional move where both fans are grabbed in one hand and you do something with the other hand, usually a grab of some kind, but that's the exception. Rule of thumb when it comes to martial arts weapons: If it's roughly sword sized or smaller (3-ish feet long, give or take a few inches) it's almost always a dual-wielded weapon. And that's a realism argument, as opposed to a "Who cares about realism!?" argument. :P

So many bosses in this game use hammers yet we're the only ones who can't seem to use one.

Give it to Warrior as an alt Weapon

Yeah, Hammers are a classing FF weapon that we could definitely use! I'd prefer to see one-handed hammers for WHM, though; its pretty much their classic "DPS" weapon while staves and wands were their magic boosting weapon. Not sure how that'd work in this game, but I'd like to see hammer-wielding WHMs.

Hammers were also used by Cid the Engineer in FFIV, but it looks like our "engineer" is gonna be a gunner...

I like swords.

I just want to be able to dual wield light spears (one longer, one a bit shorter, or combinable, with some slashing usage atop the obvious piercing) at some point, like a DragoonBerserkerWildling sort of thing...

Barring that, I'll take a bo-staff or a warscythe, please.
