    Well... Just judging by the pictures, it kinda makes me think of a two-handed version of the macuahuitl (PLD spanking paddles). So... Dark Knight? Even if the macuahuitl still vaguely count as swords, having the sharp obsidian pieces along the edges, and these look more like clubs, but... Close enough, IMO. =)

    Huh? A kanabo is basically a bat with metal studs in it. There is no sharp edge on it like a sword. It's a blunt damage weapon.

    S'what I said =) "these look more like clubs" compared to the sword-ish form of the macuahuitl. Doesn't stop me from comparing the two with swords/two-handed swords in a similar manner, though.

    Not sure how you can compare the two though since one is meant for cutting and the blunt trauma. Only comparison I can really draw from the 2 is that they're both weapons, lol. But hey, compare away, lol.

    I know, it doesn't really make sense ^^ But the first impression of the pics in the OP just made me think of the profile of the macuahuitl, and... I guess it's just one of those "once seen, can't be unseen" things XD Plus the macuahuitl generally referred to among the people I know as 'spanking paddle', due to mayan/incan (whichever it is, I forget) words being tricky, doesn't really help either ^^;
    (Though... on that side, it doesn't quite make sense where -- lore-wise -- how and why the macuahuitls entered the gladiator/paladin tradition. Which Eorzean culture do they come from? Howcome they're included as GLD/PLD weapons? Why would someone decide to throw away their good steel sword for a wooden board with stone edges? If you ask me, I think some paladin at some point took the 'tank and spank' notion way too literally...)

    If Nero can use a 2 handed hammer why can't we? Give us hammers!

    So many bosses in this game use hammers yet we're the only ones who can't seem to use one.

    Give it to Warrior as an alt Weapon
