Cloud backup/share for character setting, system setting, and macros

I own this game for PS4 and PC, and I have multiple alts. It'll be nice if the HUD layout has an option to be shared between characters. And character settings, system settings, and macros can be shared between multiple PC and cross platform.

Long story short, have the above account based, so doesn't matter who's computer/PS4 we access they layout and controls are the same.

I'd even take hardware file transfer if it's an option. Between PC its not so bad, because you can transfer files. PS4 is not so good, mainly because of sony's making file access such a pain in the ass.

If SE can somehow make the PS4 client able to read and transfer the FFXIVconf.fea file from a flash drive that'll be good enough for me.

I agree! its a pain in the ass taking the time setting your UI the way you like it only to loose it if something game wise gets corrupted or switching to an alt!

AGREED! I play across a PC and laptop as myself and the wife use both.

Whilst we can do it by copying the config between PCs in my documents.. it's not exactly useful for cross console players such as OP, and shouldn't really be needed to be done anyway as it's clunky and not intuitive at all.

For HUD Layout, I think we should have the option to manually save and load multiple named layouts. (A manual save/load operation because some people will want to have the same layout across platforms, and some will want it different on a small laptop screen two feet in front of their face than on a big TV across the room.) Those saved layouts should also be available account-wide, so we can set it up and save it on one character, then load the same layout on another character.

For things like hotbars, gearsets, macros, Triple Triad decks, etc, I'd like to see those just moved to server-side rather than local storage, so that they're automatically available from any platform we log in with, just as our characters and inventory, etc. are. There's nothing about those that needs to be platform specific.

I am highly enjoying this game, but I have to switch between PS4 and PC frequently due to there only being one TV in the house. This issue is a killer for me and is incredibly frustrating. I just unlocked the golden saucer/triple triad, and again, one more feature that doesn't save it's settings across platforms. How many more features will I unlock as I play that aren't saved? I don't want a UI issue to ruin this game, as it's the best MMO I've ever played.
