Please remove or lower the rank restriction on PvP gear. This is just an arbitrary system designed to increase grind and it's not like this game needs more grind, right? Also, for GCs that have premades and a solid gear advantage all it does is give them an upper hand. When we are waiting 1hr and 30mins for a queue, grinding that many games could take MONTHS.

I think it's fine the way it is. Took me 4 months to get rank 40 with 2 hrs queuetime, but it was worth it cause I had so much fun doing it.

If you don't enjoy pvp then there's no point in doing the grind anyway

The longer the grind the greater the sense of accomplishment.
As the person above said, play PvP for fun. Over time the ranks will come. PvP gear is already being synced to ilvl 80 (twinking doesn't even always require the ilvl110 set gear) so I don't know what kind of advantage youre talking about. Wolves Den doesn't count since no one plays that anymore (sadly).

Do you want everything to just be handed to you? If so, GW2 is an option.

Well, then i suggest you to quit the game. Because you might noticed, that this whole game is about grinding and every piece of gear will be useless after 3-6 months. Fun fact is, that the pvp gear is probably the only gear wich can be up to date for more then one year (Because of Moral and the overall slow development for pvp in general).

For me, your post just sounds like you want to have the i100 gear as free loot and dont want to take effort in it. Yea, its a grind, but its the end game gear for pvp, so you have to work for it. Just like you have to work for i130 coil gear, wich is end game gear for pve.

Look, I've professionally pvp'd in a lot of games and I have absolutely no problem with grind. It's inevitable and if done well it can give you something to aspire to. The problem I have is USELESS grind and zero progression. I guarantee you this system wasn't put in place to encourage players, but to stall them and drag out subs. I regrind pvp gear every season in WoW and I do it with a smile. But this? This is utter bs.

It take a day of bgs in wow to be in full honor gear. It would take hours to get full conquest gear if it wasnt for the weekly lockout.

The old pre-2.0 pvp system for WoW was the shit. That's when pvp gear and pvp titles like grand marshal and high warlord actually meant something. FFXIV's pvp kind of reminds of that right now. Its difficult to attain and I enjoy the exclusivity of it.

They will most likely lift the level requirement of the animal gear, since they have slowly removed requirement from other equipment as the rank increases. However I do believe the rank requirement of some gear is necesary as a reward for people who have been dedicated enough for it.

Also unlike the other PvP games, the skins are mainly cosmetic as the stats are locked anyways.
